Former President Donald Trump stomped all over President Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill on Friday, calling on Senate Republicans to pull out of negotiations over the massive spending proposal while warning them that they were being hoodwinked by the left.
“They will give you nothing!” Trump predicted in an email sent out by his “Save America” organization. “Very important that Senate Republicans not allow our hard-earned tax reductions to be terminated or amended in an upward trajectory in any way, shape or form.”
“They should not be making deals on increasing taxes for the fake infrastructure proposals being put forward by Democrats, almost all of which goes to the ridiculous Green New Deal Marxist agenda,” Trump posited, taking a slap at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who has spearheaded the deal.
“Keep the Trump Administration tax cuts just as they are,” Trump admonished them. “Do not allow tax increases. Thinking about it, I have never seen anything so easy to win politically. Also, RINO Republicans should stop negotiating the infrastructure deal – you are just being played by the Radical Left Democrats – they will give you nothing!” The message was also posted on Gab.

Biden has been venturing into Trump-country in the Midwest recently to sell his $1.2 trillion infrastructure plan while campaigning for Democrats running in the 2022 midterm elections. He made stops in Crystal Lake, Illinois, and La Crosse, Wisconsin to promote the bill.
The bipartisan compromise package reportedly includes $579 billion in new spending with $300 billion set aside for transportation, and $250 billion allotted for broadband, power, and water infrastructure.
But even with the support of so-called moderate Republicans such as Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), the bill is very much in doubt. Leftists don’t feel it goes far enough and are balking at a compromise. Conservatives are decrying the massive spending that the country can’t afford.
Both Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) are opposing the bill. They are accusing Biden of harming lower-income Americans and minorities in order to get Republicans to jump on board with the deal.
“The president can say he’s bipartisan, he can go out and support the deal, but at the end of the day, if he wants it, he’s going to have to support our priorities,” Jayapal, chairwoman of the House Progressive Caucus, said to The New York Times in June.
The bill could be voted on as early as July 19. However, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stated that she will not introduce it in the House until the Senate passes a much larger bill. The left is pushing a monstrous bill with a price tag of $6 trillion. They intend to use the parliamentary gambit of reconciliation to shove it through without Republican support.
Democrats want to use the bill on “nontraditional infrastructure” and include initiatives to address climate change and social care programs.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell stated on Thursday that he believes “there’s a decent chance” the bipartisan bill “may come together.”
“All I’ve said is, I would like for it to be paid for,” McConnell told the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce this week. “We’ve added quite enough to the national debt.”

Trump is appearing more and more in public and has re-entered the political arena. Thousands attended a rally in Cleveland, Ohio in late June as well as in Sarasota, Florida on July 3. The former president’s popularity has not waned with the American people and once again when he speaks, the nation listens.
His warning to Republicans on the infrastructure bill is also a warning to America on what the Democrats are trying to ram through.
