MSNBC’s “ReidOut” host Joy Reid went on a racist tear against parents who attend school board meetings to protest Critical Race Theory, labeling them white nationalists and crazy conspiracy theorists who are QAnon followers.
On Wednesday’s show, Reid engaged in a predictable rant against former President Trump, basically calling him a racist upfront. Then she segued into a discussion of concerned parents who have taken the time to find out what Critical Racist Theory really is and then go to school board meetings to speak out against the ideology being pushed in educational curriculums across the nation.
“So, the goal now is to terrify those white voters into voting for a party that is offering nothing on policy. Zip, zero, nothing. By zeroing in on the amygdala of white suburbanites and scaring the hell out of them that black Americans are conspiring to pollute their precious childrens’ minds with dangerous knowledge and then turn them into woke future Democrats,” Reid sneered.
She accused the involved parents of being part of an “insidious underbelly of the GQP culture war” that is led by white people who are “steeped in…white nationalism” and QAnon.

“And in the wake of the disgraced, twice-impeached President’s defeat, that hysteria over the perceived encroachment of race-conscious education is being exploited by another insidious force. Followers of QAnon, who are now using the battle cry to similarly target school boards, with many who have espoused QAnon theories now melding their own conspiracies with the lies about Critical Race Theory,” the liberal host proclaimed.
Reid was joined by NBC reporter Ben Collins who went on his own rant about QAnon and Trump supporters. Reid gushed that Democrats are simply focused on helping the American people and winning the midterm elections. She posited that conservatives are risking “running headlong into a culture woodchipper because Republicans aren’t running an election.”
She also claimed that the right has “wag[ed] an all-out war for power that increasingly is based on and steeped in the Trump cult and even white nationalism,” hoping that white voters will be horrified at the idea of “race-conscious education.”
In a return to the “astroturf” claims that leftists have used in recent years especially against the Tea Party, Reid took part in gaslighting her audience by proclaiming that “[r]adicalized parent activists across the country are targeting school boards with behind the scenes help from conservative groups” and conservative media.
Collins delved into what he contends is a coordinated conspiracy among the parents at the school board meetings. He claims that it started with opposition to masks and wanting their children back in school. Collins said that protesting race-based curriculums is just the right’s newest focus. He even posited that somehow the QAnon movement is calling the shots with parents parroting former national security advisor Mike Flynn and QAnon message boards.
“And what we’ve seen is QAnon followers going to these meetings, seeing this big public spectacle. Some of these things are on YouTube, so they can go up there and give these big speeches about the cabal or something and they can say, ‘Hey, we need to rile people up. We need to get people ready to take over these school boards over the next year.’ They’ll post that, by the way, on their Instagram later on,” Collins claimed.
“But that’s the point. They are using Michael Flynn’s rally crying to, you know, take over the school boards. Run for school board. Run for public office, he said. He said we need to get involved in the education of our children. And right now, on the top of the biggest QAnon message board, that’s what you’ll see. You’ll see the quote from Mike Flynn saying run for school board,” Collins continued.
“Yeah. And I mean, the thing is the sort of through-line here is to say that, essentially, white America’s children are being polluted, their minds, their bodies by the woke mob, by the left, by the multicultural party and that that’s a threat. It sounds very much like the Reconstruction era when, like, the black and tan Republicans were a threat because they were this multi-racial coalition that was polluting the minds of white women and children. It’s very 1860s,” Reid responded.
Not feeling they had gone far enough, both Collins and Reid suggested that evangelical Christianity had been infiltrated by QAnon as well.
The outrageous talking points by Reid and Collins sparked rage on Twitter:
This rhetoric smearing parents who don’t want their kids to kill themselves b/c they’ll wish they were never born is going to get someone hurt. With Collins and Reid hurling such invective against parents who say “this isn’t right” at school board mtgs, it’s only a matter of time

Iron Law of Woke Projection.
Joy Reid is shameless.

Joy Reid:
“CRT is simply *not* being taught in schools. Can’t even define it. It’s a legal theory & not being applied”
Also:
“Concerned parents who oppose the CRT that is absolutely being taught in schools are Q-Anon. Running for school board = white supremacist terrorism”

To go from denying it is being taught to defending it, overnight, is perhaps the greatest lack of self-awareness I have ever seen. 🤦🏻♂️

Media trust is at an all time low. Do they really think smearing the majority of Americans that find CRT racist and offensive is going to work? They have a 1/4 of the influence they had before. This only proves the CRT critics they’re on the right side.

The fact that Joy is pro-CRT tells me everything I need to know.
