Superman star Dean Cain blasts Marvel for Capt. America quote saying the ‘American dream isn’t real’

Superman thinks that Captain America should get demoted to lieutenant, or possibly even private after Marvel Comics came out with an issue within which the latter super-woke hero claimed that the American Dream doesn’t exist.

Reacting to the contentious comic book, actor and self-described revolutionary Dean Cain lamented the radical, divisive direction that Marvel and practically the entire entertainment sector (plus many school systems) have taken whereby it’s trendy and “cool” to bash America through far-left indoctrination.

Pointing out that fundamental role reversal has occurred, those who appreciate America and its values are the new counter-culture in an environment of pervasive identity politics, he suggested.

“I love Captain America; I love the concept of Captain America, but I am so tired of all of this wokeness and anti-Americanism,” Cain told the “Fox & Friends” crew. Cain played Superman and alter ego Clark Kent on “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” which aired on ABC television from September 1993 to June 1997.

“We just celebrated our 245th birthday. In my opinion, America is the greatest country in history,” he said.

Cain then alluded to the fact that there is plenty of room for improvement in the U.S. (otherwise the populist, MAGA movement never would have gained traction). Plus, the left has never explained — given allegations of systemic inequality — why much of the world’s population wants to become permanent residents of America, through legal or illegal means.

“It’s not perfect; we are constantly striving for a more perfect union as we all know, but I believe she’s the most fair, equitable country with more opportunity anyone’s ever seen, and that’s why people are clamoring to get here from all over the globe,” he continued.

“I agree with Sen. Tom Cotton who was on a couple days ago who said that perhaps the Captain needs to be demoted to lieutenant because I think it makes good sense.” Later in the segment, co-host Pete Hegseth quipped that Captain America should be busted down to private first class.

Cain also expressed support for America’s founding principles.

“I believe in individual freedom, I believe in equality of opportunity — not outcome — competition, the ability to compete fairly, hard work, which brings you success, and brings you material wealth, which in turn gives you self-reliance.

“That’s what everybody wants on the face of this planet; that’s what everybody strives for, that’s why they’re trying to come here,” Cain insisted.

Those who have prospered the most in our country seem to inexplicably loathe it the most, Cain implied. “Celebrities, actors, athletes, the media  — they love to bash America. I don’t get it,” he said, adding that it’s almost like these elitists never travel outside the U.S. to get a sense of what the lack of civil liberties is like.

“If Captain America can’t love America, then who can?” Hegseth wondered rhetorically.

Explaining that he is on the exact opposite side of the fence from the America haters among his contemporaries in Hollywood and elsewhere, Cain ended the segment, however, on a hopeful note.

“I love this country. I’m a full complete optimist as well. I believe the pendulum will swing back to openly appreciating American values, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights,” he said.

“As soon as people start studying them in school again, I think we’ll get people understanding them and appreciating them, so today, me being sort of a counter-culture guy, me supporting the flag and the red, white, and blue and United States of America, makes me a revolutionary in some terms, which I’m fine with,” Cain added.

America’s institutions seem to be down on America even while the totalitarian, anti-free speech, CCP rapidly expands its economic, political, propaganda, and military tentacles around the world.
