Rick Wilson’s response to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes about ‘dirty boys’ and ‘paddles’ raises his creep factor

Lincoln Project founder Rick Wilson raised eyebrows with his latest Twitter blunder about “dirty boys” who like to be “paddled” and had folks wondering if there is something more nefarious going on inside his mind.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tweeted that he “did not realize, until the Trump years, just how many conservatives harbored such intense humiliation fetishes.” Rather than leave this (really poor) attempt at humor alone, Wilson felt the need to chime in about his relationships with “some very very dirty boys in Washington,” and the internet is having a field day.

In his response, Wilson writes that these “dirty boys” that he knows “like to have their little backsides paddled by trained professionals.” A wiser man would have deleted something like this the moment it was sent out, but not Rick. Instead, he leaves it, and is most likely proud of his “joke,” while many people are left scratching their heads as to why he would say something like this in the first place.

In all fairness to Rick Wilson, his organization, the Lincoln Project, takes a lot of credit for helping Joe Biden win the 2020 election. Seeing as the organization has little to no issues with a man who sniffs children, and brags about them touching his legs becoming president, it shouldn’t be a shock that Wilson keeps company with “very dirty boys.” If anything, it’s par for the course.

Wilson may be joking, but when you take the Lincoln Project’s history into account, he might just be opening up about his co-founder, John Weaver, who was accused of sending crude and sexually suggestive text messages to young men and boys as young as 14, promising many of them that he would get them a career in politics.

In a move popularized by actor Kevin Spacey, Weaver said the motivating factor behind his grooming of underage boys was the fact that he’s gay, and had been trying to hide it.

“The truth is that I’m gay and that I have a wife and two kids who I love,” he told Axios back in February. “My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.” That “agonizing place” being where he tries to groom kids.

The responses to Wilson’s tweet range from hilarious to concerning, with many people wanting to know why in the world this was said in the first place. Others familiar with his organization’s history were quick to point out that “dirty boys” should be the last thing someone from the Lincoln Project talks about.
