New York Times columnist Ezra Klein believes that the Biden administration is essentially ruining any chance Vice President Kamala Harris would have in an election by giving her tasks that are either too difficult or wholly outside of her comfort zone. The irony is, these are all things she would have to do as a president, further solidifying the assertion that she is not up for the job, and wouldn’t be able to handle the duties as Commander-in-chief.
Nearly halfway into the first year of the Biden administration, critics claim it has become crystal clear that Harris is in over her head, stumbling into every obstacle thrown at her along the way. Unfortunately for Harris, it doesn’t seem like her tasks will be getting any easier, as President Biden continues to pass the tougher jobs onto his number two.
Things have gotten so bad that the White House felt the need to issue a statement about Harris’ “success” at the southern border, using tweets by left-wing politicians and supporters as proof of her “productive” visit.
Addressing the issues of illegal immigration is just one of the many tasks Harris has been assigned, and many argue she has yet to show anything for it. Outside of making what she calls a “grand gesture” by merely paying a visit to the border, Harris has no wins to point at this far into her tenure.
This seems right. Kamala Harris will probably be the Democratic nominee in 24 or 28. Biden’s team should be giving her portfolios that make it likelier she’ll win. Instead they’re giving her impossible problems that will likely become liabilities. https://t.co/Bd8ATdv6kL

Less than a year ago the media was singing Kamala Harris’ praises, calling her nomination “historic”.
What makes matters worse for Harris is the fact that when she ran for president, her lack of popularity forced her to drop out of the race.
Some say she has proven most of those doubters correct, as crime is on the rise, and illegal immigration is wreaking havoc at our border. Her support of the “defund the police” movement has been disastrous for major cities seeing a spike in violence.
While it appears that members of the media think Harris needs to easy “wins”, other people seem to believe the opposite and were very critical of Klein’s refusal to call Harris ill-fit for the job.
To the contrary, she needs to show her mettle has been tested. A bunch of cream puff accomplishments won’t help her.

Why do you think she’ll probably be the nominee? What is going to change between now and then to make people actually want to vote for her?
