Left-wing CNN commentator Chris Cuomo accidentally delivered a solar plexus gut punch to his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and all while trying to knock out his frequent arch-nemesis Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

It all started Friday afternoon when the senator posted a tweet containing a clip from the “Glenn Beck Radio Program” of him talking about his proposed No Vaccine Passports Act.

“This is a civil rights and individual liberty issue: There should be no federally mandated vaccine passport,” he added as a written caption.

Instead of minding his left-wing business and leaving the senator alone, Cuomo couldn’t help but try and throw a punch. It was no surprise given his demonstrable obsession with going after Cruz.

“Does this liberty extend to women who want to control their bodies?” he tweeted in response about three hours later.

The tweet was in reference to the pro-abortion belief that women have the “right to choose” to perform an abortion on a baby.

As of Saturday morning, both tweets had been ratioed, but whereas Cruz’s older tweet had only been ratioed by 120 percent (933 comments to 788 retweets), Cuomo’s newer tweet had been ratioed by 168 percent (1,100 comments to 655 retweets).

Why the higher ratio, especially on Twitter, which data shows is comprised primarily of leftists? In part because the majority of people who interacted with the CNN host’s tweet felt he had no room to advise anyone about women’s bodies.

His brother has been facing sexual harassment accusations since December, when his first accuser, former aide Lindsey Boylan, spoke out. Since then, multiple women have also spoken out against the governor.

Cuomo himself had no known links to this activity until The Washington Post confirmed last week that he’d “advised his brother … and senior members of the governor’s staff on how to respond to” the allegations.

“The cable news anchor encouraged his brother to take a defiant position and not to resign from the governor’s office. … . At one point, he used the phrase ‘cancel culture’ as a reason to hold firm in the face of the allegations, two people present on one call said,” according to the Post.

In other words, Cuomo, a former #BelieveAllWomen advocate, advised his brother on how to discredit his female accusers.

Plus, Cuomo has his own closet full of past sexual harassment accusations.

All this said, you may have noticed that one of the people who responded to Cuomo had written, “Make sure you bring some marinara.”

That was a reference to a satirical tweet claiming that audio footage had emerged of Cuomo’s older brother telling his female staffers that he wanted to “dip his garlic knot” in their “marina sauces.”

To be clear, the tweet was meant to be satirical.

Returning back to Cuomo’s tweet, not everybody responded to it by referencing his brother’s activities. Some instead focused their attention on his belief that women have a “right” to abortion.
