Royals not amused: Buckingham Palace wants ‘Trump Train’ to delete image of queen sporting MAGA gear

The Royals in Buckingham Palace are requesting that the “Trump Train” bus remove a likeness of Queen Elizabeth II from the side of the carriage where she is photoshopped wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and a QAnon brooch.

Buzzfeed is reporting that the Palace has been notified of the Queen’s image on the bus and that “representations asking for [the photo’s] removal have been made.”

Trump supporter Buddy Hall owns the bus. Originally, he was going to sell the iconic vehicle after Biden won the 2020 election but he decided to revamp it for 2024. He hopes to get a chance to meet former President Trump at some point.

The “Trump Train” bus was spotted in Florida last week during the “America First” rally that featured Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Both were adamant that Trump is still the leader of the Republican Party. The Queen’s likeness has been on the bus for more than a year but wasn’t brought to the attention of the Royals until the event in Florida. “We’re on the Trump 2024 revenge tour,” Hall said.

The bus was originally intended to be an “unofficial campaign tour bus to support the 2020 reelection of President Trump,” according to its GoFundMe page.

The transport was an iconic symbol at Trump rallies during the 2020 election cycle featuring the head of Trump on Rocky Balboa’s body and former President Ronald Reagan wearing a MAGA hat among others on the side of the bus.

Hall noted on his Facebook page recently that the images on the bus will be changing. Former Vice President Mike Pence will be removed as well as others. He stated in his post that he was “taking TRAITOR PENCE OFF replacing with DESANTIS, Candace Owens, Don Junior, Laura Trump, General Flynn, Rand Paul, and many others.” Hall also said, “We were going to put Pence under the bus, but he don’t even qualify to be there.”

Web hosting site GoDaddy has also requested that their logo be removed from the bus: “GoDaddy doesn’t sponsor the bus and we don’t have any advertising relationships with the bus/owner whatsoever,” GoDaddy spokesman Dan Race commented to the Huffington Post. “They don’t have permission to use our brand on the bus and we’ve asked them to remove.”

Hall said he never meant to imply that GoDaddy sponsored the bus: “They built us a nice website. I just wanted to show my appreciation,” he said in a statement.

So far, the loyal Trump supporter has not said whether he will remove the Queen’s likeness or not.

A spokesperson for Marjorie Taylor Greene told BuzzFeed News that they were not affiliated with the “Trump Train” but they did not see an issue with the Queen’s image being used. “You do know what a meme is right? Isn’t that what Buzzfeed is all about?”

“We’re sure Her Majesty has greater concerns than motor vehicle traffic in [the retirement community where the rally was held] The Villages — Florida,” Harlan Hill, who is a spokesperson for Matt Gaetz, said.
