Tebow’s return to NFL leaves Kaepernick cabal crying ‘white privilege’ BUT there’s a big difference

Tim Tebow is evidently returning to the NFL and social justice warriors are enraged that he is being signed to play for the Jaguars before Colin Kaepernick is taken back by the football league.

Critics from the left see a number of issues with Tebow’s return after taking a prolonged break from the sport to play minor league baseball. One of their biggest complaints is that Tebow is white and that he reportedly hasn’t played pro-football in eight years – four years longer than Kaepernick has been out of the game. Topping that sore point is the fact that Black Lives Matter social justice activist Colin Kaepernick has not been given a second chance to play while Tebow is being welcomed back into the fold.

Tebow, 33, is allegedly signing a one-year contract with his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars and will play tight end, a position he has never played before.

Actor Steven Pasquale accused the league of “white privilege NFL style.”

The left also hates that Tebow is a devout Christian and somehow compares his kneeling on the field before God to Kaepernick’s kneeling to protest the police and the national anthem.

Other critics point out that Kaepernick was a Heisman-winning quarterback who played 35 regular-seasons games and then took part in one playoff game during the span of three seasons. But Tebow also won the Heisman in 2007. They also complain that Kaepernick led his team to the Super Bowl and that Tebow only played in one playoff game.

The Jaguars are being accused of taking Tebow on board to reignite their fanbase and sell tickets, merchandise, and more. In other words, it is a money-making move according to leftists. Kaepernick has ostensibly cost the league fans and profits and was widely seen as an embarrassment to the NFL.

Many believe that Tebow was picked up because of his close relationship with Urban Meyer who became the coach of the Jaguars. He was Tebow’s college coach in Florida.

Meyer noted how Tebow looked in his workouts. He was allegedly impressed by Tebow’s performance as if he were years younger than he actually is. That resulted in the coach giving his former quarterback a chance at a comeback.

“We have not signed Tim,” Meyer stated during the Cris Collinsworth PFF Podcast. “There’s a thought going around. He was in the best shape of his life, asked to see if he could work out with a couple of our coaches. I wasn’t even there. They came back to me and said, ‘Wow, this guy’s in incredible shape.’ Then I went another time and watched them try him out. And they said go work on these things, he comes back later. They try him out again, I’m not there, they come in and they said, ‘Wow, this guy’s ball skills, he’s a great athlete, he looks like he’s 18-years-old, not 20, whatever he is, 33. I said, ‘Guys you don’t understand, now this guy is, he’s the most competitive maniac you’re ever gonna talk to and let’s give it a shot.'”

Former NFL linebacker Brandon Spikes decried the “race bulls**t” that surfaced after it was announced that Tebow would likely return to the NFL.

He later stated, “I’m gonna call Urb and see if i can get a job as the head Equipment Manager for the jaguars lol. So y’all can stop pulling this race bulls**t! This ain’t that. It’s all about their relationship built people.”

The NFL claims that Kaepernick was not blacklisted for his political posturing on the field. But progressive activists contend otherwise.

The outrage on Twitter by leftists was palpable:
