Although Joe Biden has been president for a little more than 100 days, it seems like an eternity given the damage that he has caused. Ironically, during his campaign, one of Biden’s talking points was that all of the nation’s problems were the result of “Trumps America.” Looking back, nothing could be further from the truth. While Biden and his left-wing colleagues will try to point the finger at Trump, the truth is that the nation is in serious trouble, and that Biden has nobody else to blame but himself. While some will not admit it, many Americans sorely miss “Trump’s America,” as “Biden’s America” is a total train wreck that puts the American people and country last.
When President Trump was in office, the major news networks did their best to portray him in a negative light and made up stories that inaccurately portrayed his actual job performance and failed to commend his many accomplishments, some of which included draining the swamp in Washington, eradicating the Affordable Care Act and repealing the individual mandate, passing and signing comprehensive tax reform, implementing policies that led to a reduction in illegal immigration, exerting pressure on countries such as North Korea and Iran, cancelling the terrible Iran nuclear deal, re-establishing America’s credibility around the world, taking tough measures against China, appointing many conservative judges (including several to the Supreme Court), implementing policies that resulted in a strong economy, continued economic growth, and lower unemployment, enacting legislation that focused on our military and that took care of our veterans, promoting a strong and effective policy to fight the Covid pandemic and effectively overseeing the rapid development of a Covid vaccine, and facilitating peace deals between various countries in the Middle-East and Israel.
While Democrats tried their best to portray “Trump’s America” as one of divisiveness, racism, hate, and violence, their portrayal was merely a smokescreen resulting from their deep-rooted hatred of Trump. In reality, “Trump’s America” put America and Americans first.
“Biden’s America,” on the other hand, puts America and Americans last. Biden supports the Iran nuclear deal and wants to re-enter the dangerous and one-sided deal. His policies towards Israel, America’s biggest ally in the Middle-East, are weak, and have led to the eruption of violence in the region. Biden’s policies towards Russia and China also portray weakness, thereby further eroding America’s image and credibility around the world. In “Trump’s America,” countries around the world knew not to test Trump’s resolve and respected his word. In
Biden’s America,” America adversaries laugh at Biden and expect his support.
“Biden’s America” is also more dangerous than “Trump’s America” ever was. Unlike Trump, who was tough on illegal immigration, yet welcomed legal immigration, Biden takes the opposite approach. Illegal immigrants and migrants are flooding the nation’s southern border, gangs and criminals are taking solace in Biden’s weak immigration policies, and Covid (and other possible diseases) are entering the country by way of our porous borders. Biden’s immigration policies put Americans last and welcome those who are in America illegally. As reported by News & Record, “The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is considering using the site of the former American Hebrew Academy as a relocation center for unaccompanied immigrant children as they await reunion with family members in the U.S.”
In “Trump’s America,” police officers were also cherished and respected. Biden, on the other hand, has sought to take away various powers from the nation’s police officers and has sought to eliminate the immunity that police officers have from lawsuits resulting from the performance of their jobs (see the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act). Tangentially, in “Trump’s America,” the Second Amendment was a sacred right, while in “Biden’s America,” efforts to limit/erode the Second Amendment are underway.
Finally, in “Trump’s America,” especially before the Covid pandemic, the economy was roaring, and unemployment was low. As reported by The Hill,
“Trump reduced taxes, unleashed the economy, renewed domestic energy production, and overhauled trade deals to place the country first.
Let us examine the success in the first three years of his administration before the coronavirus flattened the economy. The unemployment rate fell less than 4 percent, which was near the lowest in half a century. The inflation rate fell to 1 percent, which was even below the target level set from the Federal Reserve. This has kept the interest rates on mortgages and many other loans down to the lowest level in modern times.
The portion who fell below the poverty line declined to the lowest level ever recorded in 2019. The wealth of households, including their stocks, savings, and real estate, rose to the highest level in history. The Census Bureau saw the median income rise to above $65,000, up by more than $5,000 in three years and double the gains from the last decade.
Conversely, in “Biden’s America,” trickle-down economics are a thing of the past. Biden has proposed two multi-trillion dollar spending bills. As Fortune reports,
In seeking to pass not one, but two multitrillion-dollar spending bills that would flood the U.S. economy with public sector investment, the White House is aiming to pay for those measures by hiking taxes and closing loopholes on high earners, wealthy investors, and major corporations.
Biden’s proposals would raise the top tax rate on the wealthiest Americans to 39.6% and increase the corporate tax rate to 28%, in the process reversing two major components of President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts (which slashed those rates to 37% and 21%, respectively). Forty years after President Reagan took the historic step of cutting capital gains taxes to 20%, Biden is looking to roughly double that existing rate on those reaping windfalls of more than $1 million. There are also plans to raise taxes and close loopholes on corporations’ foreign profits, and also end the “step-up in basis” practice that has allowed the heirs of wealthy estates to avoid steep tax bills on their inheritances.
In essence, Biden’s proposal would reduce wages, lower the number of available jobs, limit/reduce economic growth and investments, and make America less competitive. An excellent discussion of the numerous problems associated with Biden’s proposal can be found here.
In just over 100 days, Americans have gotten a frightening, yet firsthand, view of “Biden’s America.” It is one of economic instability, higher taxes, open borders, dangers at home and abroad, and a federal government that sees its role as that of emperor or dictator. It puts America and Americans last, and does so without reservation.
Americans miss “Trump’s America.” While it wasn’t perfect (nothing ever is), it was real, genuine, secure, and placed Americans first.
