Tucker Carlson discussed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday concerning her rise to power and fame while alleging how even those on the left are not safe from a visit from the police if they criticize her.
The “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host began by remarking that, despite her being elected to Congress at the age of 29 and becoming a powerful politician, Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t appear to be proud or happy but seems angry and “aggrieved.” He said she feels “deeply sorry for herself.”
Carlson pointed to the New York Democrat’s massive following on Twitter of 12.6 million followers and the notoriety and fame that goes along with that kind of idolization. But, he contended, it is apparently not enough.
Carlson commented, “Ocasio-Cortez now insists that not only should she be able to speak totally unfiltered to millions, but that no one should be allowed to disagree with what she says. In February, her office sent a mass email to supporters asking them to report anyone who criticizes her to the tech monopolies for punishment.”
He quoted more from the email: ‘”Scan your social media to find posts with misleading information,” the email read, “use the built-in report feature to flag them for moderators.”‘

The Fox News host stated that it was “pretty straightforward.” He alleged that she is using social media to censor her political opposition or anyone who doesn’t fall in line with her opinions.
The seemingly authoritarian push by Ocasio-Cortez to censor anyone speaking against her took an even stranger turn when she went after left-wing podcaster Jimmy Dore. When he urged her to push for a higher minimum wage, Ocasio-Cortez proceeded to accuse him of a crime. “That’s violence,” she declared.
Carlson asked, “How do you protect yourself from violence? You use armed guards, and AOC has.”
He then referenced an interview from last week where Ocasio-Cortez spoke concerning foreign policy that deals with Israel and the Palestinians.
Her statement in that interview was extremely vague: “You know, earlier, just now, you and I were talking about the ‘what’ and the ‘how.’ And I think that when we talk about peace, centering people’s humanity, protecting people’s rights – it’s not just about the ‘what’ and the end goal, which often gets a lot of focus, but I actually think it’s much more about the ‘how’ and the way we are coming together, and how we interpret that ‘what’ and how we act in, you know, the actions we take to get to that ‘what.’ … We value Jewish and, rather, we value Israeli, uh…we value the safety and human rights of Israelis, we value the safety and human rights of Palestinians.”
Carlson called attention to leftist Ryan Wentz’s reaction to her reply. An anti-war activist from California, Wentz was less than impressed with Ocasio-Cortez’s answer. He tweeted: “Her response was incredibly underwhelming, to say the very least.”
On April 1, @AOC did a livestream with Michael Miller, the head of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. She was asked about “peace between Israelis and Palestinians.”

That was just enough to reportedly earn him a visit on April 8 by two plainclothes officers from the California Highway Patrol.
They reportedly came to his home and told him they had been dispatched by the U.S. Capitol Police in Washington in response to a threat against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. He was confused since he hadn’t threatened anyone and told them that. They didn’t believe him.
Wentz stated in an interview with The Grayzone, “The officers said, ‘We got a warning about a sitting member of Congress. And it was because of your tweet, which tagged them in it. And then they just wouldn’t back down from this accusation that I threatened to kill her.”

Carlson further rang the alarm bells over the incident:
“But here’s the spookiest part: Ryan Wentz hadn’t included any personal information in his social media profile. Yet the police knew his name and exactly where he lived. How’d they find him? It seems likely that Twitter turned Wentz in to authorities on behalf of their friend Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
It’s hard to believe this is happening in America, but it did. The California Highway Patrol confirmed it Friday. The Capitol Police told ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ they referred Wentz’s name because he was mentioned in a ‘threatening’ message. They denied that Ocasio-Cortez requested an investigation.
For her part, Ocasio-Cortez also denied direct involvement in any of it, but she didn’t seem especially upset that it happened. She certainly didn’t launch into an impassioned speech about civil liberties.”

Carlson closed with his definition of what an “extremist” is in today’s current politicized culture: “No. It turns out it’s someone who disagrees with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, from the right, or even the left.”
Journalist Glenn Greenwald said in response to the incident, “No basis to assume AOC is responsible for this without evidence, but regardless, this is a very serious incident if the Capitol Police are dispatching armed police officers to citizens’ homes in response to non-violent criticisms of a politician’s statements. It’s repressive.”
