An unidentified student at Loudoun County Public School got an earful from his teacher during a lesson on race.
In a video of the lecture posted online, the teacher attempts to guide the student toward identifying “racial differences” in a photo, but the student insists that all he sees are “two people chillin’.”
The picture in question shows a white, red-haired woman and a black woman side-by-side, with the caption “What is race?”
“Just tell me what this seems to be a picture of,” says the teacher.
“It’s just two people chillin’,” responds a male student.
“Right, just two people. Nothing more to that picture?” asks the teacher, clearly attempting to guide the student to identify the two people based on race.
“Nah, not really. Just two people chillin’,” responds the student again.
The teacher then casts doubt on the boy’s observations, implying that the young lad doesn’t “really believe” what he’s saying about the photograph.
“I don’t believe that you believe that,” the teacher remarks. “I don’t believe that you look at this as just two people.”

Apparently, it’s hard to believe that not everyone in America, especially high-school-age kids, is as obsessed with race as the outermost fringes of the political left.
“It truly is just two people though, is it not?” the student asks.
The teacher then accuses the student of being “intentionally coy about what this is a picture of” despite having no evidence to support his assertion. This prompts the student to chuckle and ask the teacher what he’s “being coy about.” After another brief exchange, the teacher seems to have had enough of the student refusing to identify the women in the photo by their races.
“I don’t know why you do this,” the teacher says, and begins verbally berating the student. “You come out off of mute to talk about what this is a picture of, and you act as if there’s nothing noticeable about this apart from the fact there are two people.”
But the student wasn’t about to be silent while the teacher brow-beats him over the lesson. In fact, he sets up the teacher to admit exactly what the whole lesson is about.
“Well, I’m confused. Are you trying to get me to say that there are two different races in this picture?”
“Yes, I am asking you to say that,” the teacher explains. This prompts the student to make a point that conservative critics have been making for quite some time.
“Well at the end of the day wouldn’t that just be feeding into the problem of race instead of just acknowledging them as two normal people?”
“No, it’s not. Because you can’t not look at, you can’t look at the people and not acknowledge that there are racial differences,” the teacher huffs.
In a Facebook post, Beth Darts (a school board member) reveals that this discussion took place during a “Dual Enrollment College Level English course.”
“Students were exposed to different literacy theories as a way of critiquing different pieces of literature. (Critical Race Theory) was an example of a theory that can be applied to literary criticism,” she explained. “Other theories such as structuralism, deconstructionism, and feminism were also shared.”
Interim Superintendent Scott Ziegler released a statement on the matter, rejecting that the school has adopted Critical Race Theory into their curricula.
“It should be noted that students do not receive equity training. LCPS has not adopted a uniform equity curriculum, but does have a Culturally Responsive Framework,” he says.
But critics are taking the student’s side in this situation, and aren’t taking too kindly to this teacher’s unique brand of “education”:
That kid owned the teacher…..SMH what is our education coming too.

The student has a great mind & shows great calm in his understanding while the teacher is losing it! Students sees “2 people”, not 2 different races! Bravo! Teacher should be fired, if we were to follow the “rules” set by the Left!

The reaction of teachers to the pandemic tells you all you need to know about the intelligence level of people teaching secondary education.

And the kid probably speaks for 99.9% of ppl who saw the two ladies with pretty smiles.

The teacher is the one with a problem. We will never be able to eradicate racism with constant reminders of people’s skin color. This is so wrong.

I applaud any child that has the courage to denounce and reject the “de-programming” of our youth by the woke left who believe that we are in fact judged by the color of our skin.
