Stacey Dash throws former employer Fox News under the bus, dumps on Trump in groveling mea culpa

Former Fox News pundit and actress Stacey Dash turned on former President Trump and tore into Fox News in an interview with the Daily Mail. She also apologized for any hurt that she had caused in the past while blaming her “arrogant pride and anger” and stated that she was through with politics.

Dash claimed that Fox News typecasted her. “I’ve lived my life being angry, which is what I was on Fox News. I was the angry, conservative, black woman. And at that time in my life it was who I was,” she stated.

The failed congressional candidate was met with criticism when she supported Trump’s statement after the Charlottesville debacle. She has also been attacked for other statements made by Trump having to do with immigration.

She voiced her opinion on the Capitol riot: “When that happened I was like ‘Ok, I’m done. I’m truly done. Because senseless violence of any kind I denounce. What happened on January 6 was just appalling and stupid.”

“I realized in 2016 that anger is unsustainable and it will destroy you. I made a lot of mistakes because of that anger,” Dash claimed.

“There are things that I am sorry for. Things that I did say, that I should not have said them the way I said them. They were very arrogant and prideful and angry. And that’s who Stacey was, but that’s not who Stacey is now. Stacey’s someone who has compassion, empathy,” she said in a monumental reversal of what she has claimed in the past.

“God has forgiven me, how dare I not forgive someone else. I don’t want to be judged, so how dare I judge anyone else. So if anyone has ever felt that way about me, like I’ve judged, that I apologize for because that’s not who I am,” she groveled.

Dash went on to justify her time at Fox News, claiming it was just what she was paid to do. “I’m not a victim of anyone. Working for Fox at the time, that was my job. I did my job from the place I was at. Stacey now would never work at Fox, would never work for a news network or be a news contributor.”

Dash allegedly voted for Barack Obama in 2008. She then supported Mitt Romney in 2012. After that came Trump and now she seems to be supporting President Biden.

The actress has since had a leftist epiphany it would seem. In her interview, she stated that Trump is “not the president” and told everyone listening that they should “give the new president a chance.”

“Being a supporter of Trump has put me in some kind of box that I don’t belong in. But he’s not the president. I’m going to give the president that we have right now a chance,” Dash tearfully proclaimed.

Although Dash seems to be taking a more moderately neutral stance these days, she’s still taking conservative acting parts. She’s currently playing a doctor in an anti-abortion movie called Roe v. Wade.

Dash says she is still shunned in Hollywood: “I’ve been basically blacklisted. Being a black conservative is not easy.”

The “Clueless” actress tried to engender sympathy in her interview by saying “her conservative views stem from a tough upbringing in the South Bronx of the 1960s and ’70s, where her parents were teen drug addicts, her uncle was a pimp, her babysitter sexually abused her and she saw her first dead body on the street at just three years old.”

“This idea that people think I’m coming from a place of judgment with the things I believe? No, it’s experience,” she claimed.

“The codes of the street are very conservative. If you’re not a hustler, if you don’t know how to hustle, how to make your money, you’re a lamb for the slaughter,” Dash declared.

“If you have a gun and someone tries to take your gun, not good things are going to happen to you,” she stated.

In 2019, Dash was arrested for domestic battery. She told the arresting officers that she works as an actress but took time off and “did politics for a while.”

Dash describes herself as “apolitical” now. She’s still conservative on some issues such as being anti-abortion and claims she is “not a feminist.”

“‘I don’t believe in identity politics,” Dash posited. “I don’t walk around looking at someone and saying ‘oh, this is the color of your skin so therefore you are this,’ or ‘you’re straight or gay so therefore you are this.’ I don’t judge people by the color of their skin or their sexual orientation. That’s not who I am.”
