President Joe Biden, a man who was accused of sexual assault last year, is hellbent on denying due process to young males who’re accused of the same or similar.
During former President Barack Hussein Obama’s time in office, he rewrote the Title IX laws pertaining to sex-based discrimination so as to strip college students who’d been accused of sexual harassment or assault of their due process rights.
Once in office, Obama’s successor, former President Donald Trump, undid the Title IX rules and restored due process to harassment/assault cases on college campuses.
Years later, his successor, current President Joe Biden, is now intent on rolling back Trump’s fixes and once again stripping away the due process rights of the accused.
Accused like Corey Mock, a former University of Tennessee student who was expelled from school in 2014 because of a dubious sexual assault allegation that was never properly adjudicated.
Speaking on Fox News’ “Fox News @ Night” this week, Mock’s father said the expulsion decision was reached “with no evidence, no explanation.”
In other words, it was reached with no due process — just like Obama wanted.

As noted earlier, the Trump administration sought to rectify this gross problem by rewriting the Obama administration’s own rewrite.
While the Trump rewrite finally granted due process to students accused of harassment/assault, it also spurred criticism from feminists who claimed the rules were somehow unfair to those who make accusations.
As someone who champions himself as a women’s advocate, despite the litany of sexual harassment and even assault allegations in his own history, Biden bought this narrative hook, line and sinker, and now wants to undo the Trump rewrite.

“President Biden on Monday directed the Education Department to conduct an expansive review of all policies on sex and gender discrimination and violence in schools, effectively beginning his promised effort to dismantle Trump-era rules on sexual misconduct that afforded greater protections to students accused of assault,” The New York Times reported Monday.
The president thinks doing so would be fair to accusers, but civil rights attorney Debra Jordan argues that a return to Obama-era policies on this issue would be unfair “for the accuser and the accused,” as reported by Fox News’ Shannon Bream.
“It’s best for everybody involved in the process if everybody can be heard and if the facts and the truth can come out,” Jordan said in a statement to Bream.
Had the facts and the truth been heard in Mock’s case, he would have never been expelled from school, as he was eventually found “not guilty” by a state court.
“A judge overturned the expulsion of Corey Mock—a University of Tennessee at Chattanooga student and star wrestler—after determining that UTC’s administration had improperly required Mock to prove that he was innocent of sexually assaulting another student,” Reason magazine reported on Dec. 8th, 2015.
“The decision is a significant blow to the concept of affirmative consent. According to Judge Carol McCoy, UTC’s consent standard wrongfully shifted the burden of proof and violated Mock’s due process rights.”
The burden of proof has always been on the defendant, not the plaintiff, yet under Obama this timeless rule was thrown aside — and under Biden, it’ll be thrown aside again. For everybody but him, of course.

The presumption of innocence should be afforded to everyone, regardless of political party. Democrats threw this standard out the window when it came to Kavanaugh.

Asked what he’d say to Biden if given the chance, Mock’s father said he’d tell him to sit down and speak with accused men.
“Meet them, talk with them. They’re thrown under the bus. They walk away. Their lives are changed forever,” he said.
Would he even care, though? Judging by his self-serving nature, many feel he probably wouldn’t. As noted by journalist Ashe Schow during a discussion with Bream, the president appears to believe due process is only relevant when he’s involved.
“We know from everything Biden has said publicly going back to the Obama Administration, he is absolutely against due process — unless of course he needs it,” Schow said.
“He was all about it’s on us, believe women, and then as soon as he was accused by Tara Reid during the election, it was no, no, no, just listen to women and support them, but then investigate what they are saying,” she continued.

Schow added that this call for an investigation was “never brought up during the Obama Administration, never mentioned during the Obama regulations.”
“So we have all these students that are getting accused like Corey Mock, and there’s absolutely nothing they can do. They don’t see the evidence against them, they don’t even know the specific allegations against them in a lot of cases. And so Biden has put out the sign that he wants to go back to the Obama era guidelines where that’s the norm, and we can’t have that,” she added.
We can’t have that in a fair and just country, yes, but alas, in Biden’s America, it seems any atrocity is possible …
