The Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services is reportedly using taxpayer money to fly illegal alien minors, who are separated from their parents when they cross the border, to their relatives who are residing here in the U.S.
The Washington Post is stating that the Biden administration is so concerned over running out of space to house children who are coming across our border unaccompanied that they are buying airplane tickets as well as paying for other transportation costs to reunite the children with their parents or other relatives here in the United States. The revelation was obtained by The Washington Post via an email from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement.
The Biden administration has come under fire this week for reopening an influx facility that is now being referred to as “kids in containers” on the border to handle children crossing into the country. They are basically trailers that resemble storage containers with bars on the windows. The facility in question can hold approximately 700 children.
This seems to indicate that the government has gone into crisis mode concerning the number of children and other illegal immigrants coming over the border. “We need to prepare for border surges now,” Ice’s Chief of Staff Timothy Perry wrote in a Feb. 12 email. “We need to begin making changes immediately.”

The Washington Post is also alarmingly reporting that “Federal agents have taken into custody more than 70,000 migrants a month for each of the past four months, the most for that period in at least 10 years.”
Amid calls by Democrats for the abolition of ICE and the HHS warehouse-like influx shelters, Biden is desperately trying to grapple with the influx of illegal immigrant families and children at the border. Government agencies are allegedly signaling that they expect a massive increase in illegal immigrants now that America’s immigration policies have shifted once more to the left.
HHS confirmed last night the Biden admin will pay airfare for unaccompanied minors to expedite their release from shelters and send them to relatives who might not be able to afford travel.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated on Wednesday that the administration was working quickly to move illegal immigrant minors away from the border and that they are being treated humanely. She emphasized that they cannot legally release unaccompanied children to unvetted adults.
Psaki reported that the children are being transported from crowded border stations to HHS shelters. “This is a difficult situation, and it’s a difficult choice,” she lamented. “That’s the choice we’ve made.”
According to NBC News, attorneys who are working to reunite immigrant parents and children revealed on Wednesday that they had located the parents of approximately 105 children in the last month. They are still seeking the parents of 506 children. The parents of 322 of those children have allegedly been deported.
A lawyer who is representing the separated families in a lawsuit, Lee Gelernt, who is also the deputy director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Immigrants’ Rights Project, stated that Biden’s new task force should commit to bringing the deported parents back into the United States. They should purportedly be given special protections to reunite with their children according to their legal representation.
