Simon & Schuster dumps Josh Hawley, picks up Hunter Biden memoir with gushing boost from Stephen King

Publisher Simon & Schuster has just inked a deal with scandal-plagued Hunter Biden to publish his new book “Beautiful Things” after canceling Senator Josh Hawley’s book because of his alleged connection to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The memoir is set to be released on April 6. It is already being praised by those on the left such as author Stephen King. “In his harrowing and compulsively readable memoir, Hunter Biden proves again that anybody — even the son of a United States President — can take a ride on the pink horse down nightmare alley,” King wrote for the cover of the book.

King continued: “There are plenty of memoirs about the Three Rs (rum, ruin, and redemption), but there are sections in this one that stand out with haunting clarity. Biden remembers it all and tells it all with a bravery that is both heartbreaking and quite gorgeous. He starts with a question: Where’s Hunter? The answer is he’s in this book, the good, the bad, and the beautiful.”

Simon & Schuster is the same publisher who nixed Republican Sen. Josh Hawley’s “The Tyranny of Big Tech” book deal. “As a publisher … we cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom,” the publisher stated following the Capitol riot. “After witnessing the disturbing, deadly insurrection that took place on Wednesday in Washington, DC, Simon & Schuster has decided to cancel the publication of Sen. Josh Hawley’s forthcoming book.”

While decrying Hawley’s alleged involvement in the chaos on Jan. 6, Simon & Schuster seems to have forgotten the multitude of scandals that Hunter Biden has been embroiled in. He has been involved in shady business dealings with Ukraine and has traded on his family’s name. Biden has also been mired in sex scandals and others that involved drug use.

According to the AP:

“The book is called “Beautiful Things” and will center on the younger Biden’s well-publicized struggles with substance abuse, according to Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Acquired in the fall of 2019, “Beautiful Things” was kept under wraps even as Biden’s business dealings became a fixation of then-President Donald Trump and others during the election and his finances a matter of investigation by the Justice Department.”

Gallery Books released a snippet promo from the book: “I come from a family forged by tragedies and bound by a remarkable, unbreakable love.”

The book also reportedly goes into detail concerning the paternity suit from ex-stripper Lunden Alexis Roberts who Biden had a son with. The primary focus, however, will be on his drug abuse throughout his life.

Senator Hawley was never directly tied to the Capitol riot, he was only accused of involvement which he has vigorously denied. He participated in lawful election fraud proceedings. On the other hand, Hunter Biden’s scandals are well-documented and numerous. He has a criminal past and is the subject of multiple federal investigations. Many people wonder why there is an apparent double-standard as well as inconsistent moral messaging at Simon & Schuster.

The book was written in collaboration with the author and journalist Drew Jubera. No financial details have been released yet.
