Disgruntled clerk allegedly leaks apology letter from Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife following Capitol riot

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife Ginni Thomas issued an apology to his clerks following the Capitol riot asking that they not let politics divide them as a family. She was a staunch supporter of former President Trump which her Facebook page reflected. Her apology was leaked to the Washington Post allegedly by one of the clerks who took offense at her advocacy for the Trump administration.

The media has branded Thomas as a conservative political activist. The left is also outraged that she supported the rally in D.C. on Jan. 6. They should take note that millions of Americans also supported that rally, but vehemently condemned the riot that occured. Thomas wrote on Facebook the morning of the rally, “LOVE MAGA people!!!!” She also added, “GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU STANDING UP or PRAYING.” That really set the left off who painted it as some kind of incitement.

“I owe you all an apology. I have likely imposed on you my lifetime passions,” Thomas wrote to the private Thomas Clerk World email list that is comprised of her husband’s staff that Justice Thomas has interacted with during his over three decades on the bench.

Thomas wrote imploringly, “My passions and beliefs are likely shared with the bulk of you, but certainly not all. And sometimes the smallest matters can divide loved ones for too long. Let’s pledge to not let politics divide THIS family, and learn to speak more gently and knowingly across the divide.”

According to the Washington Post, a number of former clerks verified the apology and the dispute that arose after the riot. The list is normally used to celebrate the goals and achievements of the clerk “family.”

Since the riot, Thomas has taken down her Facebook page out of deference to the victims that day. The left immediately pounced and insinuated that it indicated some form of guilt.

Then the smearing began as those on the left accused Thomas of funding transportation to the rally. Even liberal Snopes and the New York Times called that one false but her detractors ran with it anyway. The hatred on the left for Thomas Thomas runs deep.

Thomas has long been an advocate for conservative causes. She married Clarence Thomas in 1987 before he was a Supreme Court Justice. Clarence is equally if not more despised by the left.

Politically, she has opposed Obamacare and other Obama-era mandates. Last summer, she attempted to get Clifton, VA to remove a Black Lives Matter banner. “Let’s not be tricked into joining cause with radical extremists seeking to foment a cultural revolution because they hate America,” she wrote.

Other issues that have caused the left to go nuclear on Thomas include her being a delegate to the RNC and the fact that she strongly endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the presidency. After Cruz dropped out, she became an ardent supporter of former President Trump.

More of Thomas’s private email communication was leaked to WaPo: “Many of us are hurting, after leaving it all on the field, to preserve the best of this country,” she wrote dejectedly. “I feel I have failed my parents who did their best and taught me to work to preserve liberties.”

Justice Thomas does not appear to take part in the email list. Which is probably just as well considering the leaks. His wife does not speak for him either in that capacity.

Ginni Thomas seems to be reaching out to the clerks trying to heal any wounds that may have opened up over political differences. But instead of communicating with her directly, at least one clerk allegedly went to the Washington Post instead.

“I would ask those of you on the contrary side to have grace and mercy on those on my side of the polarized world, and feel free to call and talk to me individually about where I failed you as a friend here. I probably need more tutoring,” she acknowledged.

“Otherwise, on behalf of both of us, be assured of our love for each of you.”

Being ‘family’ does not seem to be as unifying as it once was.
