Actor Jon Voight calls Americans to ‘rise, look to a better future’ in powerful, uplifting video

Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight has released a very powerful and uplifting video thanking President Trump for his devotion and leadership over these last four years. He is calling for unity during and after the transition to a Joe Biden presidency later this month.

The video runs for just over a minute and was filmed with an American flag as a backdrop for Voight.

Voight is a staunch supporter of the president. He has shared many videos praising Trump while sharing his religious views. Voight has been adamant while alleging that Democrats “want to destroy America” and he has compared them with “Satan” himself.

The Midnight Cowboy star narrated a video about American exceptionalism at this year’s Republican National Convention as well as an RNC video about Trump’s successful efforts to free American hostages held captive in foreign lands.

This video is a call to Americans to not give up hope, even in the face of great disappointment. Voight shared the segment shortly after Trump acknowledged in one of his final tweets that a new administration will take office on Jan. 20 and following the riot on Capitol Hill.

“My fellow Americans,” Voight stated. “We shall not weep, but let us give thanks to President Trump for his four years of hard work and love for America. Let us not put our heads down, let us rise and look to a better future. Let us praise God. Let us understand that His plan is far greater.”

Voight addressed the riots where protesters breached the security of the Capitol building on Jan. 6 while the Senate was voting to confirm the Electoral College votes.

“I know all are disappointed, but this violence is not who we are,” Voight iterated. “We are love, respect, honor. The ones who destroyed will be accountable but the ones who truly wanted to share love and respect will be heard.”

He made the video with a message of unity for the American people in the face of a massive political and cultural schism threatening the nation as a whole.

“Let us put aside our differences and let America grow. Let us stand again with pride and we as a nation will hold on to the love that President Trump shared with us all. It’s not over. The truths of justice will prevail for God’s glory shall as well. Love to you,” he said.

This was a different, more subdued message compared to a recent video he issued prior to Election Day. In it, he offered a scathing rebuke of then-candidate Joe Biden, going so far as to call him “evil.” That message went viral as well.

“Biden is evil. Trump must win. He’s real. He will bring back the people’s trust,” Voight began. “These leftists are not for the American people. It’s the biggest cover-up ever,” he said.

Not long after November’s disputed election, Voight issued a warning to those celebrating Biden’s win, saying they were only welcoming the “horror they will be in for” because the promises “being made from the left to the American people will never come to be.”

“My friends of all colors, races, and religions, this is now our greatest fight since the civil war,” Voight said at the time.

“The battle of righteousness versus Satan – yes, Satan. Because these leftists are evil, corrupt and they want to tear down this nation.”

“We must not allow this. We must fight this corruption that has taken over and fight for the good that seems lost,” he added.

Voight went on to urge Americans to give their “trust to God,” calling the ballot count “corrupt.”

“Let us not back down, let us fight this fight as if it is our last fight on earth. As Muhammed Ali said, it’s not over until the last punch you have.”
