A mass exodus has begun, with droves of President Donald Trump’s supporters fleeing the far-left social media network Twitter over its authoritarian, widely panned purge on free speech, including the free speech of the president himself.
So many Trump supporters showed up at the doorsteps of the non-establishment social media platforms Gab and Parler late Friday, in fact, that the platforms reportedly experienced outages.
“Moments after Trump was dumped, the website for Parler crashed, likely as a result of a crush of new users overwhelming their servers. The outage lasted less than an hour,” the New York Post confirmed.
Gab reportedly also experienced a brief outage but bounced back quickly because of its extensive self-built network of servers — a fact that the network gloated about in a cheeky tweet posted Friday evening:

More servers are being spun up as we speak. Record traffic. Remember: we own our server hardware, it’s not as easy as pressing a button on a cloud hosting provider. Please be patient. God is in control.

Despite Gab’s superior infrastructure, Parler remains the number one destination for the president’s supporters, in part because of its ownership by conservative heavyweight Dan Bongino, who himself departed permanently from Twitter hours before the full-scale purge began.
“This will be my final post on this anti-American platform. The greatest threats to liberty are the destructive tech tyrants who have acted as publishers in their ongoing wars on conservatives & free speech. You can find me on Parler, where we respect free speech. I’m ‘dbongino,'” he tweeted Friday morning.
By Friday evening, the president’s account had been permanently banned, while the White House’s official @POTUS account had been locked.

Those conservatives who are choosing to remain on Twitter to stay abreast of the left’s Machiavellian machinations have meanwhile reported an inexplicable drop in their follower counts.
Fox News contributor and Washington Examiner chief political correspondent reported a loss of 29,000 followers, the majority of which appeared to have been axed during the purge:
Now, down nearly 29,000. I think about 1500 of that came slowly between election and early January, when I was writing that results showed Biden victory and Trump legal options narrowing, then finished. Angered some followers. But big, precipitous drop has come in recent hours. pic.twitter.com/lYLYZ5hplA

Numerous other conservative figures, including some congressional Republicans, reported similarly:
So I have actually lost 30k followers in 4 hours? Is that even possible? Parler iced? Is this to please @JoeBiden? Does he know what Twitter is ?

As a result of the purge, many conservative Twitter users began voluntarily leaving the network. The words “Goodbye Twitter” even trended for a tad, up until hateful leftists commandeered it to spew their usual dose of vitriol.
The one problem with the ongoing exodus is that conservatives are allowing Twitter to become an even more radicalized left-wing echo chamber — one that’s already a hotbed of unconstrained, unchecked left-wing extremism.

Conversely, conservatives are creating their own echo chambers at Parler and Gab.
But what makes the left-wing echo chamber of Twitter particularly dangerous is that it’s fully endorsed by congressional Democrats and mainstream media figures — both of who have been eagerly advocating for a purge of conservative voices.
This means that the growing left-wing radicalization on Twitter is backed by institutional power. And so it should come as no surprise that President-elect Joe Biden, who’s repeatedly defended left-wing BLM/Antifa extremists, is hellbent on passing new laws allowing for the monitoring, surveillance and detention of anyone whom he deems to be a problem, i.e., non-establishment voices.
Speaking on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” late Friday, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald warned that the same tech giants purging conservative voices will be the foot soldiers operating Biden’s new War on Terror.
“These companies have greater power than any corporations in the history of the world. Not just wealth, but the amount of data that they have on us — and now the control that they exercise over our political discourse. A tiny handful of tech oligarchs are more powerful than any nation-state,” he explained.
“They determine what we can hear, what we can speak, what is true and what is false with zero accountability and zero transparency. They overwhelmingly donated to the Democrat Party and support the Democrat Party, are part of that coalition.”
