Lib journo, NYT bestseller attacks ‘f–ing Christians’: ‘I want to find an antimasker and beat them to death’

A journalist and New York Times bestselling author unloaded on Republicans in a social media rant in which he declared he wanted to find an “antimasker” to beat to death.

Kurt Eichenwald actively filled his Twitter feed on New Year’s Eve with a stream of attacks ranging from the “psychopathy of Trumpers” to the COVID-19 pandemic, declaring at one point that “America cant survive so long as GOP exists.”

In a particularly disturbing set of posts this week, the left-wing writer blasted “F***ING ‘Christians’” and “antimaskers” after stating that he had “so much hate in my heart.”

“I have so much hate in my heart tonight. My sister, widowed by COVID, has Covid because of antimaskers,” Eichenwald wrote in the waning hours of 2020. “About 4,000 died today; GOP says nothing. [Republican Sen. Josh Hawley] & his ilk are working to harm America. I wish them & their loved ones all the pain & misery they inflicted on this country.”

In a post one day earlier, Eichenwald had wished that anti-maskers “experience the agony & loss you’ve selfishly inflicted on so many innocents.”

His meltdown included a post that was apparently taken down by Twitter, in which Eichenwald wrote: “It’s at a moment like this that I want to find an antimasker and beat them to death. Since they believe they have the right to kill others, they have surrendered any right to object.”

He had also tweeted to assert that he wasn’t actually planning to kill anyone.

“Antimaskers did this? How do people who wear masks get it then?” one Twitter user asked the writer, triggering him into a profanity-filled response.

[Warning: Strong Language]

In comments back and forth with others on the social media platform, Eichenwald declared he didn’t care about the children orphaned by those who didn’t take the COVID precautions.

He called out the “selfishness” and “hypocrisy” of Christians who will “burn in hell.”

Eichenwald targeted anyone who was planning to go to New Year’s Eve parties or gatherings, saying he hoped that person “gets COVID, suffers, & dies alone.”

“The families like mine who have seen loved ones go through that because of the selfishness and stupidity of people like you will cheer your demise,” he added.

Eichenwald was called out for his hypocrisy after having tweeted about his previous position on wearing masks.

But Eichenwald only doubled down on his attacks.

He even encouraged his followers to report the “deplorable” Trump supporters.

Eichenwald did get some empathetic responses on Twitter from many who agreed with his mask-wearing views. But plenty of others on the social media platform did not take kindly to his aggressive comments.
