Laura Ingraham closes 2020 with very special ‘thank you’ to President Trump

Fox News host Laura Ingraham reflected on President Donald Trump’s “triumphs” during his White House years and called on Americans to do the same.

In the opening monologue of her last show of the year, Ingraham reminded viewers of all of Trump’s accomplishments, the fulfilled promises and the legacy he leaves as it seems he will be ending his presidency in January. She also warned that the U.S. will be decidedly different under Democrat Joe Biden’s lead.

“As I close out this year, I thought it was super important to reiterate just how fortunate we were to have had a president like Donald Trump for four years,” she began on “The Ingraham Angle” Friday.

“Now forget the savagery of his critics, the rank media bias and, of course, the controversy surrounding the 2020 election, mail-in ballots,” she added. “Set that aside for just a moment.”

“Just focus on what President Trump, against incredibly strong headwinds, did for our economy,” Ingraham said. “Today, more than six weeks after Election Day, The New York Times, believe it or not, published a piece confirming how much Trump’s policies helped our factory workers. The focus in that article was on the Carrier plant in Indianapolis.”

Now it seems like a lifetime ago when in February of 2016, a Carrier executive made an announcement about the fate of the storied enterprise,” she continued, going on to recall how Trump “made it his personal mission” to save the jobs of the many workers at the plant as he promised in 2016.

Ingraham noted that now, five years later, the plant “is thriving,” but there are concerns about Trump leaving office.

“With globalist Joe Biden waiting in the wings, the workers now have a foreboding feeling about what the future will hold,” the Fox News host said, quoting a Carrier worker in the New York Times who said some employees believe “they are stockpiling equipment so they can close the factory later.”

Ingraham noted that the workers’ “instinct” is “spot on,” and that low-wage countries like China and Mexico are “licking their chops” at the prospect of a Biden administration and are “eager to gobble up the last of our great American factories.”

“If Joe Biden didn’t want to lose to China, he shouldn’t have signaled he had every intention to trash the Trump agenda … with Trump out of the way, the winner is China. In this scenario, the rich international conglomerates will get richer. Wall Street will get richer too, as they engage in global arbitrage without a whit of concern when entire industries are dismantled and shipped overseas,” Ingraham said. “Isn’t globalization wonderful?”

Biden, she warned will be “a passive manager of our decline as we outsource, not just jobs, but our entire future.”

But Ingraham turned her attention back to Trump’s triumphs, including this week’s “stunning economic news from the federal reserve that was completely lost or ignored by the lamestream press.”

She went on to point out projections for the U.S. economy, the unemployment rate and other issues that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“President Trump has effectively solved the problems created by the pandemic. He said we’d develop a vaccine by the end of the year. And we did. He said we’d ensure that the cure wasn’t worse than the disease and, looks like he did that, too,” she said.

The 45th president has “left Biden with vaccines and an economy that is set to boom,” Ingraham added. “If that boom doesn’t happen, we are all going to know who is to blame.”

“But we know how the media operates,” she said. “Highlight any and all developments that could have a negative impact on the president, and bury the good news that revealed just how difficult life would become for regular working people once again under Biden. Yeah, we will be Building Back Better all right. But unfortunately, it will be happening in China. Not here.”

The Fox News host wrapped up her monologue with a heartfelt thank you to the president and his family.

“Tonight, I want to say thank you to President Trump. For what you did for the forgotten man and woman across this country and for American industry. And also for the families that don’t want handouts. They want a government that works for them. They want the dignity of decent wages for a full day’s work,” she said.

“The last four years are a prime example of what a president should be doing for the people. You may be brash at times and the liberals don’t like that, Mr. President, but you got things done. You put America first. And that is what is truly important,” Ingraham concluded. “Merry Christmas to all of you and Merry Christmas to the entire Trump family for what they sacrificed over the last four years.”
