Diamond and Silk call for military intervention to ‘save our Republic’ after Supreme Court ruling

Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, the pro-Trump duo known as “Diamond and Silk,” raised eyebrows and sparked backlash after calling for military intervention in the challenge to election results.

The conservative pundits and vocal supporters of President Donald Trump joined others in decrying the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision Friday to refuse hearing a Texas-based lawsuit challenging the results of the 2020 presidential election in four states. But the women’s call for the military to intervene set off a wave of criticism on Twitter.

“If the Supreme Court can’t save our Republic, then where is the Military?” Diamond & Silk posted on Twitter Friday, following the Supreme Court’s rejection of the lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Other supporters of the president also openly slammed the high court’s refusal to even hear the case calling for the election results in four key states that voted for Democrat Joe Biden to be overturned. Texas GOP Chairman Allen West had even suggested some states break away from the union in response.

In another tweet, Hardaway and Richardson again asked about the U.S. military.

“If the DOJ and the FBI can’t do their jobs, then where is the Military?” the Newsmax TV hosts tweeted.

“How can you disenfranchise Illegal votes? If anything, Illegal votes disenfranchised Americans who voted legally in this 2020 Election!” the pair added in another tweet before calling for a “Forensic Audit” of voting in the contested swing states.

The controversial comments about military intervention caused an immediate reaction on Twitter where  Republican congressmen rebuked the remarks.

“For the sake of democracy, the future of our nation recant on this tweet. I beg of you. We do not settle elections with our military or police force. We are not Cuba, Venezuela or China!” Rep. Paul Mitchell of Michigan tweeted.

U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger thought the duo’s words were “insane.”

Others also slammed what they saw as “seditious” tweets from the women.

Conservative radio and television host Mark Levin was among the many voices condemning the Supreme Court’s rejection of the election lawsuit, warning that the Court’s “unwillingness to even hear significant challenges will boomerang.”

Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News host Sean Hannity Friday that the Supreme Court’s “censorship” was a “scandal” that will “go down in history.”

“So far the facts have been suppressed, they’ve been subject to censorship by big media, censorship by big tech, censorship by the Democrat party, and censorship by the courts,” he said.

“People in this country are entitled to a hearing on this,’ Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor, told Hannity. “I feel the Supreme Court or at least seven of the justices have evaded their responsibility to try to bring this country together and give us a rational view of this case as opposed to the hysterical propaganda we’ve had so far.”
