Fox News’ Laura Ingraham delivered a sobering assessment of President Trump’s reelection battles, telling her viewers that she could not give them a “false reality.”
During “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday, the Fox News host insisted she was not being a “sellout” and still backed Trump’s efforts to challenge election results in many states. However, she admitted that if she told her audience the president’s chances of victory look good, she would be “lying.”
“As unpleasant and disappointing as these past three weeks have been to so many of us, as much as we wish things were different, this is where things stand tonight,” Ingraham said in her opening monologue Monday.
She noted that the president had given the “go-ahead” for the formal transition process for Joe Biden to begin, as Trump tweeted that the General Services Administration would move ahead to “do what needs to be done.”

“Unless the legal situation changes in a dramatic and unlikely manner, Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20th,” Ingraham said after noting that legal challenges are ongoing in several states with “serious questions about vote counting” and poll watcher access.
“Now, to say this does not mean I don’t think that this election was rife with problems and potential fraud,” the Fox News host clarified.
“And to say this does not constitute being a sellout to the conservative populist movement that I’ve been fighting for, I don’t know, 25 years. And it does not mean that I disagree at all with the president’s right and obligation to pursue all legitimate legal challenges to this outcome,” she continued.
“To say this, constitutes living in reality. And if I offered you a false reality, if I told you that there was an excellent, phenomenal chance that the Supreme Court was going to step in and deliver a victory to President Trump, I’d be lying to you,” Ingraham said.
“You have known me for a long time now. You know me long enough to know that I will not lie to you or simply tell you what you want to hear,” Ingraham told her viewers, encouraging them to remain optimistic.
“How things are handled going forward, is going to have a huge impact on the Republicans’ ability to stop Biden’s most egregious moves and thus, these next moves are critical to the future of the country,” she asserted. “And thanks to President Trump, we have seen the amazing results that are possible with his America First agenda.”
Ingraham went on to tout the many accomplishments of the president in his first term, from economic growth to historic Middle East peace deals, and pointed out that nearly 74 million Americans showed their support by voting for him.
She went on to contrast the Trump administration with what is gearing up to be the “bland” lineup being prepared by a potentially incoming Biden.
“Biden’s entire administration is basically going to look like a re-run of the series cancelled four years ago, except this time without its popular leading man,” she said, referring to former President Obama and predicting that the new administration will “do what Obama did, but it’s going to be worse.”

Ingraham reminded viewers of the importance of the Senate runoff elections in Georgia, where GOP incumbent Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Purdue fight to hold their seats, and help keep the Republicans in the majority in the U.S. Senate.
“This is the time for the president to remind all Americans that we will save this country, even with the current setback. Great patriots coast to coast have not given up,” Ingraham went on, urging Trump to “continue advocating for American exceptionalism.”
She predicted that even if Biden moves on to the White House, Trump will continue to remain “the most important person in American politics, if he wants to be.”
“People I don’t think realize what it’s going to be like when we have more than 70 million Americans mad at the way the government is run under Team Biden,” she said.
“Trump remains the most compelling voice in American politics. And this Thanksgiving, we should all be incredibly grateful for his service to our country, and his sacrifices for this country,” Ingraham concluded. “And I personally cannot wait to see what President Trump does next.”
