President Donald Trump slammed Democrats for trying to “STEAL the Election” in a tweet on election night that was immediately flagged by Twitter and Facebook.

While the social media platforms overflowed with political commentary as election results came in on Tuesday, it was the president’s remarks that once again triggered the censors into labeling his post as “misleading” content.

Trump took to Twitter just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday as election results came in and after a controversial early call by Fox News which gave Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden a win in Arizona. The president touted “a big WIN!” minutes after Biden finished giving a short speech in Wilmington, Delaware, telling supporters he is “on track to win this election.”

Results from key states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina were not yet ready to call as Biden spoke and Trump prepared to deliver his own remarks. The president secured wins in the battleground states of Florida, Ohio, and Iowa.

“It ain’t over until every vote is counted—every ballot is counted,” Biden told supporters at a drive-in gathering. Trump soon teased that he would also be delivering a statement shortly.

“I will be making a statement tonight. A big WIN!” Trump tweeted.

The same post on Facebook earned a quick check from the social media platform which said: “Votes are being counted. The winner of the 2020 US presidential election has not been projected.”

Trump followed in another tweet with a warning about votes.

“We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election,” he added in another tweet. “We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!”

“Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process,” Twitter claimed, immediately flagging and restricting Trump’s tweet.

Included was also a link to a page to “learn about US 2020 election security efforts.”

It appeared that NBC News’ Ben Collins had done his liberal part to alert the powers that be at Twitter.

Facebook also slapped a message on the president’s post, stating, “Final results may be different from initial vote counts, as ballot counting may continue for days or weeks.”

The social media companies have come under fire recently for the frequent flagging of Trump’s posts as well as their obvious bias and censorship of conservatives on their platforms.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, along with Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg faced the wrath of Republican senators last month during a Senate Commerce Committee hearing as they were grilled over blatant and repeated censoring of the president and others.

The double-standards were on display again, as the hours went by on election night, with Twitter coming to its own defense, citing its “Civic Integrity Policy.”

Social media users were not buying it.
