House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took her outrage over the confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to another level as she suggested not only packing the Supreme Court but other courts as well.
The California Democrat echoed her colleagues in pushing the radical idea during an interview on MSNBC following the vote of 52 to 48 in the U.S. Senate on Monday as Barrett’s nomination was approved by Republicans. Rather than celebrating the confirmation of an accomplished woman to the high court, Democrats threw a temper tantrum and immediately began to float ideas on how to undermine a branch of the U.S. government.
Democratic lawmakers and most of liberal America had a meltdown over Barrett’s confirmation Monday and almost immediately made it clear they are out for revenge. The court-packing war cry came swiftly and, despite their refusals to directly answer questions about their stand on the issue, it seems that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, will be on board as well.
Pelosi mentioned the former vice president when asked by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes about the scheme to have a Democrat-controlled Congress add new seats to the US Supreme Court and fill them with left-leaning justices. Despite the unpopularity of the idea with Americans, Democrats continue to clamor for it.

“As Speaker of the House, are you open to efforts to do that in the future,” Hayes asked Pelosi Monday after Barrett was confirmed.
“Well, I think that Joe Biden has given us a good path,” the Democrat leader replied.
“He’s going to have something that people will understand why this is important,” she said, adding “not just the Supreme Court, but the other courts.”
After struggling to get her dates right, Pelosi went on to note that there were nine justices on the high court as far back as 1876, contending that “our population has grown enormously since then.”
“Should we expand the court, lets take a look and see,” she continued. “And that relates to the nine district courts, maybe we need more district courts as well.
Biden has refused to answer questions about packing the court when directly asked, even declaring that Americans will learn his position on the issue once he is elected. In her debate with Vice President Mike Pence last month, Harris also ducked the court-packing question when confronted, though she had previously told the New York Times that she was “absolutely open to” the idea.
In a CBS News “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday, Biden said he would form a commission to determine “how to reform the court system.”
With Barrett’s confirmation on Monday, Democrats – who refused to cast one single vote in her favor – began to bang the drum. Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York accused the Republicans of “bulldozing” while she and her progressive colleagues made their intentions clear.
Republicans do this because they don’t believe Dems have the stones to play hardball like they do. And for a long time they’ve been correct. But do not let them bully the public into thinking their bulldozing is normal but a response isn’t. There is a legal process for expansion.

Fellow “Squad” member, Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, declared that packing the court is a way to “fix this broken system.”
Remember that Republicans have lost 6 of the last 7 popular votes, but have appointed 6 of the last 9 justices.
By expanding the court we fix this broken system and have the court better represent the values of the American people.

Others soon joined in.
Expand the court. https://t.co/cTwolSixUJ

Abolish the filibuster. Expand the court. Abolish the Electoral College.

They stole one Supreme Court seat and broke their own rules to ram through a second justice. Fine. Expand the court or resign in disgrace @chuckschumer.

Democrats were too busy having a tantrum to realize the significance of Monday night’s confirmation.
While the Democrats are howling at the sky somewhere, bedecked in their Halloween Handmaid’s Tale outfits, the real Party of Diversity is watching a woman Supreme Court Justice being sworn in by a black Supreme Court Justice. The Republican Party is the party of ALL Americans!

Meanwhile, Pelosi’s remarks also sparked reaction on social media where Twitter users slammed the transparent power-grab.
When they are losing they always want to change the rules to benefit only them.

Sore losers.

And adding court Justices every time we want to change opinion? Where would we stop? 2000 justices? Hey! The division thing hasn’t seemed to work – crazy idea -communicate like human beings. Media hasn’t helped either :(.

The Democrat talkers are out.
Not only do Democrats want Justices to make policy, they now want some absurd form of proportional representation for the Supreme Court. pic.twitter.com/npbleiSzhk
