San Francisco Police officers arrested a man suspected of assaulting the organizer of a free speech rally held over the weekend.
Police shut down the event by conservative group Team Save America after attacks on several people created a safety risk on Saturday. One of the rally’s organizers, 25-year-old Philip Anderson, was shouted down by counter-protesters and at one point, was punched in the face, knocking out at least two of his teeth. Authorities reported that they arrested 35-year-old Adora Anderson, who is no relation to the victim, in connection with the attack.
Adora Anderson, of Watsonville, California, is accused of “mayhem” and “hate crime enhancement” after the alleged assault during Saturday’s rally, billed as a “Free Speech Rally Against Twitter and Big Tech,” which began at United Nations Plaza in San Francisco. The event was slated to move to the Twitter headquarters in a protest of the social media platform’s censorship of the New York Post’s article on Hunter Biden’s emails.
San Francisco police responded to a report of an aggravated assault and spoke with Philip Anderson upon arriving on the scene shortly after noon. Videos and photos surfaced on social media that captured the incident.

“The victim told officers he was participating in a free speech rally at UN Plaza when he was punched in the face by an unknown suspect. The assault caused the victim to lose two teeth,” the department reported. “The SFPD Night Investigations Unit and Special Investigations Unit led the investigation.”
After identifying Adora Anderson as the suspect, San Francisco Police officers took him into custody in Oakland on Sunday afternoon. Philip Anderson lost two teeth in the attack and took to Twitter to post photos and condemn the violent counter-protesters as a GoFundMe was set up to help him with the cost of dental work.

“Antifa attacked me for no reason,” he wrote in one tweet.
“I have a question for you, Joe Biden. You said that Antifa is just an idea. This is what they did to me. I’m at the hospital right now … because of Antifa. Do you still think, after seeing this, that they’re just an idea?” he asked in a later tweet.
However, the tweets are currently not available as Twitter suspended his account.
Let’s be clear here – the SFPD have filed hate crime charges against the man to knocked the teeth out of Philip Anderson and yet twitter, Facebook & Instagram ban Philip Anderson. I think that tells us everything we need to know (see URL below). https://t.co/GanZvnc2Yu https://t.co/XSwhBJhHIb

“Can someone please tell Philip Anderson to get in touch with my office?” U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar tweeted.
“He’s going to need a dentist. We are happy to help. Oh, I would message him directly but Twitter banned his account. #BigTechBias,” the Arizona Republican and former dentist added.
With the arrest of Adora Anderson, San Francisco Police indicated that the case remains an open investigation and welcomed any information.
Meanwhile, Twitter users were demanding answers about why Team Save America and Philip Anderson’s social media accounts were suspended.
@Twitter is victim blaming Philip Anderson as he is banned for no given reason while recovering from being attacked by Antifa members.
He is only recovering because @AdamCrigler helped raised the money for his recovery.

Anderson was suspended from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram “for violating their standards in promoting his event in San Francisco,” according to ABC7 reporter Dan Noyes who interviewed the rally organizer after the attack.
I just interviewed Philip Anderson, Trump supporter who had his front teeth knocked out right before SF rally he organized against social media companies who banned and suspended him and his friends. Noyes noted that Philip Anderson is an immigrant from Ethiopia who was adopted by a Texas family when he was a child. Conflicting reports have called him out as a member of the Proud Boys though he told Noyes that “no one at the event was a proud boy.”
