A Florida manufacturing company has reportedly prepared employees for potential layoffs if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden wins the election.

Some employees at Daniels Manufacturing Corporation may have been okay with the company proudly flying a Trump 2020 campaign flag outside of its building in Orlando. But a recent letter from the company president has reportedly got some of the workers worried, according to WESH-TV.

Along with their recent paystubs, employees at the company that manufactures tools for aircraft, aerospace, and electronics industries, received a  letter from President George Daniels.

“If Trump and the Republicans win the election, DMC will hopefully be able to continue operating, more or less as it has been operating lately,” the letter, obtained by WESH, reportedly read. “However, if Biden and the Democrats win, DMC could be forced to begin permanent layoffs in late 2020 and/or early 2021.”

“Everybody has a choice to make their own decision,” DMC employee Stan Smith said, telling the outlet he was going to quit his job over the letter.

“I don’t feel like it was correct, to do something like that. That’s like me coming to work … and I should come in here and I should wear a Black Lives Matter shirt and bring out hats and pass them out to everyone. I felt like it was unfair,” he said.

Employees who agreed with Smith did not want to give their names to the television station for fear they would lose their jobs. But others were apparently not bothered by the letter from the company president.

Meanwhile, Daniels declined an on-air interview but did issue a statement to WESH.

“I have been doing this for years,” he said. “I have an obligation to let workers know what could happen, based on the outcome of an election. They certainly should vote for the candidate they want.”

According to WESH:

According to campaign finance reports obtained by WESH, the company and its president George Daniels has contributed more than $600,000 in this election cycle to President Donald Trump and groups supporting other Republican candidates for office.

While there’s nothing inherently wrong with companies supporting political parties or candidates, some employees think what Daniels Manufacturing Corporation did in a recent paystub went too far.

Daniels reportedly told employees in the letter that DMC Corporation, which has been in business since 1971, is “more dependent than ever before” on military contracts following the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.  With reduction in travel and in the manufacture of aircrafts, he contended, a November victory by Democrats may lead to more cuts to military funding as well as lower profits as the Obama administration decimated the manufacturing industry.

Naturally, the left immediately called out the company for “voter suppression” in a backlash on social media, with one account declaring that “Daniels Manufacturing Corporation needs to be sued out of business and it’s President George Daniels sent to jail.”

Other Twitter users threw ice on the liberal fires and countered the meltdowns with facts.
