Rapper/actor Ice Cube is getting the cold shoulder from the cancel culture after news broke that he worked to some degree with the Trump administration after he previously released what he calls the Contract with Black America (CBWA).
CNN abruptly cancelled a planned interview with him on Chris Cuomo’s nightly anti-Trump platform, Ice Cube revealed this afternoon.
“So the POWERS that be cancelled my interview on @CuomoPrimeTime tonight. I’ve actually been [banned] from @CNN for a few months so I was surprised they even asked. But it seems like they can’t handle the truth,” Ice Cube wrote on Twitter, possibly channeling Col. Jessup (the Jack Nicholson character) from the iconic movie A Few Good Men.
The rapper also clapped back at the Washington Post for what could be perceived as another dig:
I will advise anybody on the planet who has the power to help Black Americans close the enormous wealth gap. https://t.co/l0HylC5JCV

Ice Cube (O’Shea Jackson) is no fan of President Trump or Republicans generally by any measure. Nonetheless, that still wasn’t good enough for blue-check, liberal Twitter, or apparently the 24/7, anti-Trump infomercial otherwise known as CNN.
As alluded above, a huge online meltdown occurred when Trump senior campaign adviser Katrina Pierson revealed that the president’s Platinum Plan for black America, which includes investing $500 billion for economic development in black communities, was formulated with input from Ice Cube.
Recent history has shown that the all-or-nothing, left-wing social media mob is never satisfied, and perhaps this will provide an eye-opening experience for Ice Cube and anyone else in the entertainment space.
Ice Cube noted on Wednesday that Democrats had vowed to address his CWBA “after the election,” while the Trump campaign had been willing to address it now. Ice Cube, who says he hasn’t endorsed anyone for president in 2020, he previously supported Trump’s impeachment, however, and allegedly said he “can’t wait to see” the president in handcuffs.

Parenthetically, Hollywood generally still laments the blacklist of the 1950s, in which many people in front and behind the camera found themselves out of work owing to alleged communist sympathies. In the contemporary entertainment industry, it is entirely acceptable to cancel anyone with right-leaning views (or perceived as such), however. Or, perhaps in Ice Cube’s case, a left-winger who is somehow associated with a Republican administration to some degree.
Twitter is still outraged that Ice Cube interacted with the Trump administration on helping to develop the Platinum Plan, but there were some dissenters. Here is a sample:
I hope you’re seeing which side is willing to help and which side is demanding your vote before they help you.

DC politicians have managed to avoid actually fixing any of the true underlying issues in poor neighborhoods for more than 5 decades, and since this plan would clearly help American citizens, why would anyone be upset about it?
Pres. Trump will FIGHT to keep this promise. Fact. pic.twitter.com/8M5ZUXsns3— PlayTheTrumpCard ⚡️ Text TRUMP to 88022 (@PlaysTrumpCard) October 15, 2020
CNN is racist.

This is what happens when someone steps out of lock-step with the current leftist hegemony. For the left you are either 100% with them, or you will be treated as an enemy. Waiting for all the racial slurs from the left to begin…

As conservatives, we aren’t your enemy, @icecube. God willing, the time will come when you recognize which party has actively sought to keep black Americans feeling like perpetual victims who are incapable of economic, professional, or academic success, and it’s not the @GOP.

That’s because your focus is on actually helping black people while their focus is on pretending to help black people as long as it benefits the Democratic Party. You know, that whole system thing you mentioned in your video. The news media is a major player in that system.

Black oppression is a Billion dollar investment. They need black folks to stay oppressed and economically challenged because it pays. Watch the black incarceration rate shoot up if Dems win.

Would be majorly lit to see Ice Cube on @TuckerCarlson 🤣🤣
