President Donald Trump is not pleased with Attorney General Bill Barr, and he’s willing to say so directly to the AG’s face.
During the president’s appearance Friday on celebrated radio show host Rush Limbaugh’s widely popular program, he was asked to comment on just-then breaking news that Durham’s Russia predicate probe won’t conclude before the upcoming November 3rd presidential election.
Shortly before the interview, Axios received confirmation from sources that “Barr has begun telling top Republicans that the Justice Department’s sweeping review into the origins of the Russia investigation will not be released before the election.”
This is a devastating revelation because the GOP base has been eagerly anticipating Durham’s findings going into the 2020 race.
“This is the nightmare scenario. Essentially, the year and a half of arguably the number one issue for the Republican base is virtually meaningless if this doesn’t happen before the election,” a GOP congressional aide said to Axios.
Naturally, this also means there won’t be any indictments either.
“If that’s the case, I’m very disappointed. I think it’s a terrible thing, and I’ll say it to his [Barr’s] face. … That’s a disgrace. I think it’s a disgrace. It’s an embarrassment,” the president angrily said to Limbaugh upon learning of the news.
“I’ve had to go through it twice now with elections. See, this is what I mean with the Republicans. They don’t play the tough game. They don’t play the tough game. If this were the other side, you would have had 25 people in jail for the rest of their lives, with what we found.”
The first time he went “through it” was when then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the original Russia probe, thus granting then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein the power to eventually appoint a special counsel.
What followed was a multi-year investigation based on the Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy theory that evidence now suggests was manufactured by none other than the president’s 2016 opponent, then-Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.
“I had to beat off the phony Mueller Report. I had to beat off all this stuff. I had to beat off impeachment. I had to beat off Congress, everything else. They then send it to New York, which is all political. They send the same stuff into New York. Have to beat that off. They got New York all over. They don’t stop,” Trump’s remarks continued.
“This is a disgrace if that just came out. And I purposely tried to stay away from it because they all say it would be better if I’m not involved.”
But because of stonewalling and other BS from the Department of Justice, the president has already begun intervening. Earlier this week, for instance, he declassified all documents pertaining to the original Russia investigation.

“I’ve fully declassified everything. Everything’s been declassified. They have so much information. They didn’t need any more than frankly,” he told Limbaugh.
“Mr. [Michael] Horowitz, who was an Obama appointment, he wrote a report on [James] Comey that was so bad, it was so bad, I’ve never seen anything like it. And they should have gone after him just on that. And [Andrew] McCabe too. He took $700,000 from Hillary Clinton.”
“We caught them, we caught them cold, and we have people that don’t know how to do anything about it. It’s horrible. If that’s the case, I have to check that. I find it hard to believe, because you know what? I went through two elections,” the president continued.
And both elections were marred by phony accusations.
“I wasn’t running in ’18, but the whole Russia witch hunt affected the ’18 outcome of the election. We lost some congressional seats. People don’t say we picked up to two Senate seats, but we lost something in ’18. We lost something. We lost some seats that we probably could have held on to. We went through the same thing and it was all phony stuff,” the president said.
And throughout it, Democrats never felt the need to “hold back.”
“Nobody said, ‘Let’s hold it back til after the election.’ But the Republicans don’t play the same game. They don’t play the same game. I’d be surprised and I’d be very disappointed. I’ll probably be disappointed because this stuff should have come out a year ago anyway,” Trump explained.
Truth be told, the president continued, Democrats have been investigating him from the moment he “was coming down the escalator” in 2015.
The president’s angry remarks to Limbaugh came a day after he suggested to host Maria Bartiromo of Fox News’ “Mornings with Maria” that everybody involved with the Russian collusion investigation needs to be indicted, including former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden.
“Unless Bill Barr indicts these people for crimes — the greatest political crime in the history of our country — then we’re going to get little satisfaction. … And that includes Obama, and that includes Biden. These are people that spied on my campaign, and we have everything,” he said.
Assuming this ever happens, it won’t be until after the election, at the earliest …
