Despite all the violent riots, harassment of bystanders and destruction of property that’s been engendered by the nationwide explosion of the Black Lives Matter movement, Democrat vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris remains an enthusiastic fan.

During a virtual NAACP convention this Thursday, the California senator emphatically praised BLM’s “brilliance” and argued that so-called “justice” has never been achieved in America without what she explicitly described as “a fight.”

“The brilliance and the impact of Black Lives Matter and their brilliance in conceiving it, history is going to show was an inflection point in the ongoing fight for justice … and to reform the criminal justice system and America’s criminal justice system,” she said.

“I actually believe, as a former prosecutor, that Black Lives Matter has been the most significant agent for change within the criminal justice system, because it has been a counterforce to the force within the system that is so grounded in status quo and in its own traditions, many of which have been harmful and have been discriminatory in the way that they’ve been enforced.”

Her belief that America’s criminal justice system has been “discriminatory” is based on disparate impact, a baseless, unsubstantiated theory that attributes disparities/disproportions to discrimination and racism.

Because a disproportionate number of blacks are incarcerated in the prison system and killed by the police, believers of this theory automatically assume that racism and discrimination are somehow to blame, never mind additional facts.

“I’ve been in marches since I was in a stroller. When I was at Howard University, I was protesting against apartheid. I mean, it’s nothing new for me. But, being there, at this point in terms of, honoring the life of George Floyd and Breonna and Ahmaud Arbery, and we can go down the list, sadly, a long list,” Harris continued.

“It is about, I think, a community and the country speaking out, understanding that nothing that we have achieved that has been about progress in this country has come without a fight. Nothing that we have achieved in our country that has been about progress, and in particular around civil rights has come without a fight.”

It’s not clear what she meant by “progress” or by “a fight.”

“I always, I’m going to interpret these protests as an essential component of evolution in our country, as an essential component, a mark of a real democracy and as necessary, as necessary. The people’s voices must be heard,” she continued.

Listen to her full remarks below starting from the 19:18 mark:

Her remarks coincide with new polling data showing that a plurality of Americans now disapprove of the radical BLM movement.

“The poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that 44 percent of Americans disapprove of protests in response to police violence against Black Americans, while 39 percent approve,” the Associated Press reported this week.

“In June, 54 percent approved. The new survey was conducted Sept. 11-14, before Wednesday’s announcement that a lone Louisville police officer would be charged in the Taylor case, but not for her actual death.”

Her remarks also coincide with BLM extremists growing increasingly brazen in their harassment of innocent men, women and even children.

Like the Red Guards of deceased Chinese dictator Mao Zedong, they’re now demanding fealty from innocent passersby and bystanders.

Watch (Graphic content, language warning):

They’re attacking and trying to essential murder the police:

They’re showing up to people’s homes in the middle of the night:

They’re harassing diners who’re just trying to eat in peace:

Is this what Harris supports?

To be fair, during her remarks she added, “It is often the people who must speak to get their government to do what it is supposed to do, but may not do naturally unless the people speak loudly, and obviously peacefully, but speak loudly.”

Of course, according to the left, everything BLM does is “fiery but mostly peaceful,” including but not limited to harassment, vandalism, arson and apparently even murder.

Like Newsweek obliviously reported this week after two police officers were shot and nearly killed in Louisville, Kentucky: “Two officers from the LMPD have reportedly been shot and mass arrests occurred following a mostly peaceful protest near the city’s main courthouse.”

Uh huh …
