Many predicted it would happen, and they were dead right …

This week renowned, uber-popular podcaster Joe Rogan offered to moderate a live, four-hour debate between President Donald Trump and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden on his daily video podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

In response, “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin pounced by predictably smearing Rogan as “misogynistic, racist, homophobic.”

Many had predicted this would happen.

Following Rogan’s challenge, the president promptly accepted:

Meanwhile, others began applying pressure for Biden to also accept:

But with the viral #JoeMustShow hashtag came warnings as well.

As one prescient Twitter user had warned, “[T]hey will just brand joe a racist, sexist homophobe and say they can’t normalize his platform. Politics as usual with the woke cult. Joe interviewed Yang, Bernie and Tulsi already. He’s more left than right.”

And that’s exactly what wound up happening.

“I think given his use of the N-word, I think given his comparing a black neighborhood to ‘The Planet of the Apes,’ given the fact that he has called a transgender woman a man. I think all of that disqualifies him to be the host of a presidential debate,” Hostin complained Tuesday on “The View.”

“I think President Trump has debased the office of the presidency. I think as a country we have lost a sense of decorum, and I don’t think a host like that should be someone who is given the honor, and I think it is an honor, to host a presidential debate.”

She added that she’s a so-called “traditionalist.”

“I think that journalists should be hosting these debates. When you talk about a Joe Rogan, who has notably made misogynistic, racist, homophobic comments, that is someone that I have no interest in being given that kind of [stage],” she said.

The stunning remarks annoyed many because, his past faux pas aside, the fact remains that Rogan is highly influential — more-so than most “journalists,” some have alleged. His supporters also say he’s anything but a racist:

The irony wasn’t lost on critics either that Hostin never said anything when Biden allowed himself to be interviewed by Cardi B, a profane rapper who once bragged about drugging and robbing men.
