Rapper Cardi B managed a feat that mainstream media journalists have struggled with: She’s secured an interview with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

But it’s what she said in a subsequent video that has more people talking.

A clip tweeted by actor James Woods with the obvious question — is this all we’re getting in terms of ‘media interviews’ with Biden before the election? — has gone viral and for all the wrong reasons.

**Warning: Extremely graphic language

Yes, this is the same Cardi B who is currently enjoying a new hit single with co-rapper Megan Three Stallions called “Wet A** P**sy.”

Not even kidding. This is who was permitted to interview the Democratic Party’s 2020 nominee for president.

The same people who rail on President Trump’s alleged ‘absurdities.’ The same people who claim to be ‘offended’ by things President Trump says. The same people who wax indignant at his expressions, his way of speaking, his mannerisms.

They just let their presidential nominee be ‘interviewed’ by a foul-mouthed 27-year-old rapper whose current hit single is a little diddy about a woman’s sexual organ.

That’s significant because we’re less than three months away from what many Americans view as the most important elections in our history, and voters essentially have no idea what Biden’s agenda is.

How will he help the U.S. economy rebound to its pre-coronavirus levels? What are his foreign policy objectives? Does he have a plan to address the rising rates of crime in our biggest cities?

Other than ‘vote for me because I’m not Donald Trump,’ why should Americans cast their ballots for Biden?

We don’t know.

The Cardi B interview is also significant because it wasn’t really an ‘interview’ in the normal sense. It was…vacuous. It was devoid of substance. It reminded me of a teenager talking to her grandfather about her life’s ambitions. And frankly, Biden looked like he was…somewhere else.

And one other thing made the interview significant: The fact that it was Cardi B and not a serious journalist who asked a leading presidential candidate serious questions about how he can be a better leader than President Trump.

“I have a whole list of things that I want our next president to do for us,” Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, told Biden. “But first, I just want Trump out. His mouth gets us in trouble so much.”

Yes, his mouth.

This is where we are in 2020, a year that most Americans would love to forget were it not for the fact that we do have important elections coming up.

We get a rapper interviewing a major party presidential candidate who has spent a summer in his basement allowing handlers to shuffle him here and there on occasion, but never in front of a camera to be interviewed by a serious journalist.

A rapper who flits seamlessly from her ‘presidential interview’ into the role of foul-mouthed feminine hygiene expert. What a multi-tasker.

Following a summer of unrest, rioting, looting, and violence in Democrat-run cities, many of which are still partially or mostly locked down due to a fading pandemic, this is what the party gives its voters: Cardi B.

If this carnival comedy of errors doesn’t convince Democrat voters their party no longer respects them or takes them seriously, nothing will.
