President Trump’s Hispanic supporters in South Florida were on hand to give Sen. Kamala Harris a clear message as she arrived on her first trip to Miami after being named Joe Biden’s running mate.
The Democratic vice presidential nominee targeted Hispanic and black voters in the area on her trip Thursday, fundraising in Miami-Dade County and pandering to the Latino community. As the former vice president remained safely tucked away at his home after traveling to Michigan on Wednesday, Harris missed a Senate vote on a coronavirus relief bill and touched down in Miami.

Latinos for Trump took to the streets of Miami to send the California Democrat a clear message that, as those who suffered under Socialist and Communist regimes in South America and Cuba, they were not on board with the progressive policy ideas being espoused by the Democratic ticket.
Bienvenido a Miami, Sen. Harris.
Via pool: “A woman holding a pro Trump sign, standing in the parking lot, shouted slogans in favor of President Donald Trump. She identified herself as Mariela Jiménez and told reporters that ‘Kamala Harris represents communism and socialism.'”

“No Communista. No Socialista” and “Apoyen La Policia,” read signs being held by the Miami-based Trump supporters.
Kamala Harris was not well received in Florida today. President Trump’s Hispanic supporters came out to make it clear that we reject her socialist policies! pic.twitter.com/gF51IM2ezt

In a visit to the Venezuelan community in Doral, Harris ordered arepas at the restaurant Amaize where she greeted patrons with elbow-bumps and wearing a mask. CNN’s Ana Navarro shared a video on Twitter where she was seen wearing a Biden/Harris campaign shirt and chatting with the senator.
Not every day I get to welcome @kamalaharris to Miami. She got her first taste of Venezuelan arepas and tequeños in an area referred to as Doral-zuela, where many Venezuelans fleeing a corrupt dictator have settled. Hopefully, Biden/Harris will defeat the corrupt demagogue here. pic.twitter.com/mTOnEChGs0

Harris headed to Miami Gardens to speak with college students and community leaders as her husband Doug Emhoff went to Aventura to meet with Jewish voters. Florida Memorial University’s Roar marching band greeted Harris ahead of her community forum.

Harris predictably tore into President Trump as she spoke with U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson, a Miami Democrat and other leaders of the black community.
Biden is reportedly scheduled to head to the South Florida city next week in an effort to boost his support among the large Latino community there.
Biden is aware that he needs to shore up the Hispanic vote.
He’s hired several new Hispanic advisers in Florida, released a Spanish-language digital and TV ad, and he and Harris have sat for interviews with a Spanish channel in Miami.

Many noted that while Harris was busy trying to boost Biden’s appeal among Hispanics, she missed voting on the COVID relief bill which was blocked by her Senate colleagues in a vote of 52-47.
Kamala Harris skipping the Senate vote on COVID relief to campaign in Miami.
We can guess she would’ve joined her party in blocking relief because it had funding for vaccine development.
And she’s skeptical of the vaccines. https://t.co/jRHbLuq0XP

An NBC News/Marist poll released Tuesday found that just eight weeks before Election Day, Trump and Biden are tied in the battleground state of Florida. But while they both have the support of 48 percent of likely voters, the president appears to have the lead among Latinos in the state.
Meanwhile, Twitter users weighing in on Harris’ stop in Miami warned that the Democrats shouldn’t be so sure about their support there.
Us Latinos in FL heard Bernie Sanders loud and clear when he revered Castro. We know Biden is a Sanders surrogate and puppet. FL Latinos will be voting for Trump on November 3rd. We want to keep America free. That is why we came here in the first place.

They know what she would do to this country… it would look like Cuba in a year..

Whew-hew!!!👏👏👏👏. Miami, so proud of you!! Kamala and liberal party should never be well received. We heard the stories of what Cubans experienced under Castro, Venezuelans, and the courage it took to get to America. We love you for shunning her, and we love President Trump
