A 12-year-old Colorado boy was allegedly assaulted by a grown woman while he was riding his bike because of a sign supporting President Donald Trump.
Police in Boulder are reportedly seeking the woman in the alleged incident which took place Monday afternoon as the young boy rode his bicycle. The woman, who was described as someone in her 20s or 30s, was riding a moped as she passed the boy, made a U-turn and came back to attack him, according to a police report.

According to Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh, the woman reportedly told the unidentified boy, “you want something to look at?” the Denver Post reported.
She then allegedly hit him on the head with a closed fist before striking him a few more times. Once he had fallen off his bike to the ground, the woman reportedly scratched him as well and, as the boy related to police, she unsuccessfully tried to steal his pro-Trump sign as he used it to defend himself.
The boy’s father, Jesse Rosales, reportedly gave police the details about the incident as reported by his son who noted that the scratch inflicted by the woman “burned,” according to Denver 7.
Speaking off-camera with the news outlet, the young Trump supporter said he “didn’t want any conflict” as he rode his bike carrying the yard sign.
“I like showing what I believe in,” he said. “I didn’t want any conflict – I just wanted to show what I believe in.”
He recounted how the woman “just looked at me and laughed” as she passed him on her moped. He noted that he has been previously attacked for his open support of Trump, but this was the first time it was by an adult.
“And then she kept looking at me and she turns to me and she said, ‘hey, you want to see something?’ and then she just started hitting me,” he told the outlet, adding that he was struck in the back of the head and his arms.
“I was just shocked about what happened,” he said, adding later, “I’ll respect her opinion, but she has to respect mine.”
The boy told Denver7’s Adi Guajardo that he felt “right now, it’s really dangerous” to continue to show his support for Trump.
“I’m feeling disappointed. I’m disappointed of the people right now. I mean, they’re willing to attack anybody just because of their political views,” he said.
The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr. reacted to a report on the incident on Twitter, calling the attack on a child “sick.”
“More Joe Biden voters terrorizing kids… this is becoming far too common of an occurrence. Sick,” he tweeted.
According to Boulder police, Rosales wants to pursue criminal charges against the woman for attacking his son. Meanwhile, social media users slammed the Denver Post for its report on the incident, mocking the outlet’s use of the word “confront” rather than “assault” in describing the woman’s actions.
Not sure she “confronted” him so much as “used a closed fist to strike the boy in the back of the head and arms four to five times, and scratched him.” https://t.co/318iM3T4IK

It poses the question: How does one flee on a moped? Aren’t they just souped up mobility scooters? Because that’s what they look like, in case you thought you were creating some “Roman Holiday” scene.
If you love scooters/mopeds, I have other likely unpopular opinions, too.

Confront is a strange choice of words for physically assaulting a child.

“confronted the boy” is a funny way of saying a woman in her 20s or 30s saw a 12 year old boy holding a Trump sign and punched him in the back of the head several times.
“Confronted”. 🙄

That’s still assault and battery

Many other Twitter users noted the double standard in media reporting, noting the likely wall-to-wall coverage the incident would have gotten if the boy was assaulted for carrying a sign supporting Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
Jesus. She must have a screw loose to think it’s OK to assault a 12 year old because he’s showing public support for his President.

TDS is real. I hope they develop a vaccine soon.

This would be international news for decades if a Trump supporter did this

This has got to be fake news because the Democrats are the party of tolerance, love and peace
