It appears the attorney representing alleged Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, isn’t just defending the teen but also his supporters, including one who used to be a member of the administration of Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican.

In a statement issued Saturday to journalist Cassandra Fairbanks, high-powered attorney John Pierce of Pierce Bainbridge rebuked Hogan for his decision to terminate one of his underlings for the apparent crime of supporting Rittenhouse.

That former employee, Arthur “Mac” Love IV, worked as the deputy director of the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives until he made the apparent mistake of publishing posts on social media in defense of Rittenhouse.

According to Banks, one of the supportive posts “featured a photo of Rittenhouse cleaning graffiti, with Love writing ‘I’m grateful that conservatives are rallying behind this kid. He genuinely seems like a good person.'”

Another post reportedly contained this meme:

In another post, he reportedly wrote, “Be careful … Don’t support the 17-year-old American or people might call you a racist, or I don’t know, get you fired from your job.”

These posts triggered raging backlash from the far-left, which has already unfairly condemned Rittenhouse as a ruthless killer, “white supremacist” and monster, despite growing evidence that the shootings committed by him were acts of self-defense.

In response, Hogan’s administration terminated Love.

“These divisive images and statements are inconsistent with the mission and core values of the Office of Community Initiatives. Earlier today, I relieved this employee of his duties,” Steve McAdams, the executive director of the Governor’s Office on Community Initiatives, wrote in a statement late Saturday to Baltimore station WBAL.

“These posts are obviously totally inappropriate. We fully support the immediate actions taken by Director McAdams to address this matter,” Hogan’s spokesperson, Shareese Churchill, reportedly added.

Speaking with Banks, Pierce slammed this decision.

Larry Hogan is an embarrassment. He should focus more on providing law and order to the people of Maryland and less reading social media. He should step down immediately,” he said.

Self-defense is the most fundamental American right. If citizens cannot safely express their support of the God-given right of self-defense in America without fear of being fired by a so-called Republican governor of a major state, we are lost.”

Self-defense will in fact be the basis for his defense of Rittenhouse, who opened fire twice during a riot last Tuesday in Kenosha while being chased by extremists.

Two extremists wound up dead, while a third wound up injured. All three have since been outed as hardcore convicted criminals:

Rittenhouse has meanwhile been outed as somebody who’d worked as a community lifeguard and volunteered his time to clean graffiti and help those in need:

In a public letter issued Friday, Pierce described the events that had led up to his client opening fire on and killing two extremists.

He explained that because Rittenhouse had shown up to simply protect businesses from the extremists who’d been rioting throughout Kenosha since the non-fatal shooting of accused sexual assaulter Jacob Blake, he was targeted.

“Kyle attempted to get away, but he could not do so quickly enough. Upon the sound of a gunshot behind him, Kyle turned and was immediately faced with an attacker lunging towards him and reaching for his rifle. He reacted instantaneously and justifiably with his weapon to protect himself, firing and striking the attacker,” Pierce wrote.

This interaction was caught in the clips seen below (*Graphic content):

After shooting the so-called victim, who’s since been outed as a pedophile, Rittenhouse “stopped to ensure care for the wounded attacker but faced a growing mob gesturing towards him,” according to Pierce.

Realizing that he needed to flee, he set off again, only to be chased and attacked again by the extremists. During the melee that ensued, he opened fire once more.

Watch:

One of the attackers was killed, while the other was injured.

Rittenhouse was subsequently arrested and charged with intentional homicide, but a growing chorus of supporters, including Pierce, argue that the charges are unwarranted.
