President Donald Trump closed out his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention with a literal bang and triggered Democrats across the nation.
A spectacular fireworks display over the Washington Monument rounded out the fourth and final night of the RNC on Thursday, cheered on by an admiring crowd that had gathered to listen to Trump’s speech on the South Lawn of the White House. As if the left had not complained enough this week about the White House being used as a backdrop for the president’s campaign, Thursday night’s inspiring show – even spelling out Trump’s name in the sky – fueled their downward spiral.

The president’s more than one-hour speech on Thursday, which capped off a four-day event applauded by supporters and slammed by his critics, was followed by a massive fireworks display that lasted nearly six minutes.

More than 7,800 aerial mines, shells, comets and Roman candles were set off in the show which had been approved by the National Park Service, according to USA Today. NPS spokesman Mike Litterst told the news outlet that costs associated with the event were to be paid for by the RNC though critics continued to complain that taxpayers were funding the event.
At one point, the fireworks spelled out “Trump 2020” in the night sky.

“Together, we are unstoppable. Together, we are unbeatable. Because together, we are the proud citizens of the United States of America,” Trump concluded his speech after formally accepting the Republican nomination. “And on November 3rd, we will make America safer, we will make America stronger, we will make America prouder, and we will make America greater than ever before!”
Opera singer Christopher Macchio sang “Nessun Dorma” from the White House balcony following the pyrotechnic display which immediately ignited meltdowns by Democrats crying foul over the alleged violations of the Hatch Act.
Do you know what I see?
Literally thousands of Hatch Act violations— one for every federal official who helped with or participated in this revolting display. The greatest mass Hatch Act transgression in US history.
Even the fireworks are a violation. pic.twitter.com/7xQbTMKoyo

The fireworks show did not just trigger Democrats and anti-Trumpers on social media, as hundreds of protesters who had gathered on the streets of Washington D.C. reacted just as one would expect.
Imagine being mad at fireworks.
How far gone does one have to be to be this broken? https://t.co/3GGmSPRwot

I was laughing so hard. Troll level 5000. Little shits there for hours banging pots hoping to bother the rnc only to have “trump 2020” pop up multiple times in fireworks.

A #TrumpPenceOutNOW rally was reportedly held down the street from the White House in the so-called Black Lives Matter Plaza, and other protest groups had also gathered. Metropolitan Police kept the crowds from getting out of control although there were several incidents of confrontations and assault reported. As convention attendees exited after the event, GOP Sen. Rand Paul and his wife were reportedly swarmed by the mob.
The negative social media reactions to the fireworks drove home how much the president continues to live rent-free in his critics’ heads. Many Twitter users pointed out the amazing difference between the RNC and last week’s more somber, sometimes just awkward, Democratic National Convention.
lmao okay that was bad ass… the RNC even blew Democrats’ lame fireworks show out of the water pic.twitter.com/IthcrZX6sU

You guys had Billie Eilish and Billy Porter at the DNC…
We have fireworks and an Italian opera singer at the RNC.
DNC has no class.

The RNC has fireworks. The DNC had creepy zoom clapping with duplicated screens.

Democrats complained about the supposed Hatch Act violations and generally whined about everything in the four-day long event that ended with a bang.

There was a quick reminder online about how Trump’s plans to hold the convention in other locations had been thwarted and attacked.
Dear Democrats: if Trump wants to hold a convention in your state, let him. Democrats forced Trump to use the powerful imagery of the White House for his convention, culminating in opera singers on the White House lawn admiring fireworks over the Washington Monument. Congrats!

Conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza summed up Thursday night’s spectacular finish as “a giant UP YOURS to the Democratic Left and the media.” Many others agreed.
This Trump2020 fireworks display over the Washington Monument is a giant UP YOURS to the Democratic Left and the media. I can only imagine the stuttering disbelief and outrage! Schadenfreude, baby!

If you can judge a Trump production by how much the media desperately wants to destroy it, watching the delusional post-event coverage on @ABC makes it clear it was rather effective.
They are obviously VERY frightened by what tonight may have done to the campaign. #RNC2020 pic.twitter.com/8PklcrH7lW

The RNC Convention was superb-patriotic and inspiring. The MSM amd Dem negative reactions are confirmation of everything that Trump has been saying for the past 5 years. Gaslighting at its finest. They have discredited themselves and they deserve 4 more years to think about it.
