Pennsylvania voters sounded off about why they won’t be voting for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and many near his hometown came out to support President Donald Trump.
Voters attending a pro-Trump rally in Old Forge, Pa. on Thursday spoke with Fox Nation host Lawrence Jones about why they would not be supporting Biden, who was born in Scranton. They pointed to Biden’s dismal record of accomplishments for the state, just ahead of Trump’s visit and hours before the former vice president accepted the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.

“The big question is why? Why support this president when Joe Biden is from Scranton?” Jones asked in a video report during Fox News’ “Hannity” on Thursday, as voters who lined the streets to welcome Trump also voiced their opposition to Biden.
“He had 40 years to make it right here, we’re still distressed,” one man who was “born and raised” in Biden’s birthplace of Scranton told the Fox News contributor. “Eight years as vice president, what magical wand is he going to wave now to make it work?”
“I’m not going to support a man that can’t put together two sentences,” a woman said.
One woman expressed that’s Biden’s policies weren’t “supportable” after Jones asked her “why not support” the Democrat because of his ties to Scranton. Another man noted that Biden left Pennsylvania when he was six years old. Biden eventually represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009.
“The only time he comes by is when he needs votes,” he said.
“Do you support him?” Jones asked a man with a red Trump hat.
“Absolutely not,” he replied. “He’s had eight years as a vice president — didn’t do anything, no record to speak of. And he’s been a professional politician for 47 years.”
“You look at this crowd, you know Donald Trump is from here and not Joe Biden,” a young voter wearing a red Trump hat told Jones.
The president delivered the “ultimate troll,” as Jones noted, with his planned campaign stop Thursday, speaking in near Biden’s birthplace and on the same day the 77-year-old would formally become the 2020 Democratic nominee.
Crowds lined the streets to welcome Trump as he arrived in his motorcade.

Trump, who delivered his speech outside a building products company in Old Forge, targeted Biden’s track record and reminded voters that Biden left Scranton 70 years ago, and “he has spent the last half-century in Washington selling out our country and letting other countries steal our jobs.”

“If you want a vision of your life under a Biden presidency, imagine the smoldering ruins of Minneapolis, the violent anarchy of Portland and the bloodstained sidewalks of Chicago – and imagine the mayhem coming to your town and every single town in America,” Trump said.
The president even took time to make a pizza stop during his visit on his way back to Air Force One.

The president grabbed a square pizza at the Arcaro & Genell Takeaway Kitchen where he was met with applause by crowds awaiting him there as well.
“They supposedly have the best pizza,” he told reporters. “We’ll let you know about it in a half-hour.”
