President Donald Trump will not likely be tuning in the Major League Baseball games this season after players were seen kneeling during the national anthem.
The president tweeted that the “game is over” for him when players show “great disrespect” by kneeling in protest as former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino flagged a video with the caption: “Major League Baseball jumping on the ‘America Sucks’ bandwagon.”

San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler and some of his players knelt Monday during an exhibition game against the Oakland Athletics. The first Major League Baseball manager to publicly show his support of the Black Lives Matter movement by kneeling during the anthem, Kapler vowed to keep speaking out against racial injustice.
“I spoke to the group and I gave them two messages. The first was that our coaching staff and organization would support any statement they wanted to make,” Kapler, who is kicking off his first season as the Giants’ manager, said, according to Reuters.
“The second message was what my plans were. I wanted them to know I wasn’t pleased with the way our country has handled police brutality. I told them I wanted to amplify their voices and … the voice of the Black and marginalized communities,” he added.
First base coach Antoan Richardson as well as outfielders Austin Slater, Jaylin Davis and Mike Yastrzemski joined Kapler in kneeling.
Ahead of the exhibition game against the San Diego Padres on Monday night, Los Angeles Angels pitcher Keynan Middleton also took a knee — and raised a fist –during the anthem.

“Looking forward to live sports,” the president weighed in on Tuesday morning, “but any time I witness a player kneeling during the National Anthem, a sign of great disrespect for our Country and our Flag, the game is over for me!

Bongino echoed the sentiment in another tweet soon after.
“And I’ll be adding myself to the long list of Americans who won’t see it as we tune these disrespectful ignoramuses out. No more baseball for me,” the radio show host and former NYPD officer wrote.
As the Giants pulled their display on the field Monday, the Washington Nationals announced that a member of Trump’s coronavirus task force would be throwing out the Opening Day pitch on Thursday when the reigning World Series champions will host the New York Yankees.
Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, a fan of the team, is set to do the honors, the Nationals tweeted, although there will be no fans in the stands due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Fauci was seen wearing a Nationals-themed face mask during testimony on Capitol Hill last month.

“The policy prescriptions of Fauci and Birx have led to devastation all around our nation,” Rep. Andy Biggs tweeted in response to the report about Fauci’s scheduled pitch.
“Millions of lost jobs, thousands of shuttered businesses, untold calls to suicide hotlines, more domestic violence and abuse cases, children out of school,” the Arizona Republican wrote, adding that Americans “should feel insulted” by the move.
And for all their misguided efforts to perpetuate the Fauci-Birx doctrine of destruction, they are rewarded w/ praise & a chance for Fauci to throw out the 1st pitch for the Nats.
Americans should feel insulted. Fauci & Birx have done enough damage to our nation. It must end.

Meanwhile, the backlash was already being unleashed on social media after the Giants players and coaches took a knee on Monday.
“Way to go @SFGiants & @mlb you had a chance to take people’s mind off the crazy world they live in,” former San Francisco Giants player Aubrey Huff tweeted. “Instead you reminded them of the world they are trying to escape.”
And there goes baseball……

For too long now we have glorified cultural and academic elites who practiced immorality and attacked our republic as evil.
It’s time we stopped praising individuals and institutions like this, and instead honored those who hold to America’s founding faith and principles.

I really missed baseball but that’s a big NOPE!

So disappointed as the giants WERE my team. That ended yesterday.

You guys get paid quite well to play a damn sport. Stand up and give thanks to the opportunity to do so. You wouldn’t have this lifestyle in any other country
— jason (@ejectedhack) July 21, 2020
I am done also! What other country will pay these people millions of dollars to play a game. If they wont respect the flag and our country I don’t need them. Hopefully salaries will plummet when nobody shows up to watch!

Amazing these fools would do this after such a long hiatus from sports. Most of us sports people realized, we just don’t need it. Sadly, it’s no longer what it was meant to be. An escape from reality.

Give me a break. NO BASEBALL FOR ME.
