Fox News host Tucker Carlson disavowed the bigoted remarks that his former head writer, Blake Neff, anonymously posted on an online message board years ago, saying they’re wrong but have nothing to do with his show.

However, Carlson also warned gloating “ghouls beating their chests in triumph at the destruction of a young man” that karma will get them too — as it usually does to hateful cretins.

Why? Because as the saying goes: “Time heals all wounds. But time also wounds all heels.”

Carlson said Neff was “ashamed” of the inflammatory comments he secretly posted online years ago and resigned after CNN wrote a story publicizing them.

“Over the weekend, you may have seen stories about a writer on the show called Blake Neff,” Tucker said. “For years, since he was in college, Blake posted anonymously on an Internet message board for law school students. On Friday (July 10), many of those posts became public. Blake was horrified by the story and he was ashamed. Friday afternoon, he resigned from his job.”

Tucker continued: “What Blake wrote anonymously was wrong. We don’t endorse those words. They have no connection to the show. It is wrong to attack people for qualities they cannot control. In this country, we judge people for what they do, not for how they were born. We often say that because we mean it. We will continue to defend that principle — often alone among national news programs because it is essential.”

Carlson added: “Blake fell short of that standard and he has paid a very heavy price for it. But we should also point out to the ghouls now beating their chests in triumph at the destruction of a young man that self-righteousness also has its costs. We are all human. When we pretend we are holy, we are lying. When we pose as blameless in order to hurt other people, we are committing the gravest sin of all. And we will be punished for it, no question.”

Tucker added that he’ll be taking a few days off to go trout-fishing.

The Left never apologizes for the racist remarks of grievance-mongers like MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

Over the weekend, Fox News sent out an internal memo condemning Neff’s past online comments after CNN targeted him in a story clearly designed to attack Tucker Carlson.

Since CNN can’t defeat Carlson in TV ratings, it has to find other ways to undermine his top-rated show.

In the memo, Fox News executives said: “Fox News Media strongly condemns this horrific racist, misogynistic and homophobic behavior. Neff’s abhorrent conduct on this forum was never divulged to the show or the network until Friday, at which point we swiftly accepted his resignation. Actions such as his cannot and will not be tolerated at any time in any part of our work force.”

While it’s wrong to make bigoted comments, the fact that CNN targeted Blake Neff — an obscure Fox News employee that few people ever heard of until last week — should serve as a wake-up call to all right-leaning people that leftists are secretly targeting them for cancellation too.

So they should be on high alert.

While leftists like MSNBC host Joy Reid get promoted for writing racist, homophobic blog posts and filing false FBI reports blaming them on phantom “hackers,” no one on the right will be spared.

Similarly, the left celebrates race-baiting bigots like Don Lemon and tax-evading grievance-monger Al Sharpton.

But if you’re on the political right and wrote something offensive as a teen, you will be doxxed, publicly shamed and fired. This hypocritical double standard must change. And it’s up to us to change it.
