Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple who’ve become public enemy number one to left-wing extremists for the crime of defending their home, reportedly now face an onslaught of death threats but have been unable to obtain any protection from either local law enforcement agencies or private security firms.

All this was revealed by Fox News’ host Tucker Carlson late Thursday, two days after Mark had appeared on FNC to tell his side of the story.

“After appearing on this show, Mark McCloskey and his wife were bombarded with death threats, many of them credible. Today they learned of another coordinated attack on them. It is planned for this weekend. They immediately called police,” Carlson said.

“The dispatcher put them on hold and then finally transferred them to an officer. The officer didn’t seem to be listening to anything the McCloskeys said. ‘We’ll call you back,’ police said, and they never did.”

Desperate and quickly running out of time, the McCloskeys then tried contracting a private security firm, but to no avail.

“Not one of them would take the job of protecting them. The owner of the last company McCloskey spoke to advised them to flee immediately: ‘The only advice I can give you is abandon the house, run, let the mob have its way, let it burn,'” the FNC host explained.

“But the McCloskeys are not running. They have spent 32 years rebuilding their home, and they plan to defend it themselves. They have no choice. They are completely alone. No one will come to their aid.”

Including, it would seem, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican.

Their governor, Mike Parson, is a Republican. He’s also a former sheriff. Parson could fix their problem immediately. Parson could send state troopers to St. Louis tonight to protect the McCloskeys, but he hasn’t done that. Parson hasn’t even picked up the phone to speak to them. He doesn’t care. Obviously nobody cares.”

This horrifying reality being experienced by the McCloskeys perfectly matches the horrifying vision of America seen in the Trump 2020 campaign ad below:

It’s surprising that all this could occur even in an ostensibly Republican state.

About an hour ago Mark McCloskey called us to tell us all of this. He was panicked, understandably. His wife sobbed in the background as we spoke. American citizens trapped in their home by a violent mob, knowing that something awful could happen to them very soon. Totally undefended. This is your country. The mob is winning,” Carlson warned.

But, he continued, these mobs aren’t comprised of just random zealots — they’re effectively staffed by armed foot soldiers for the Democrat Party.

That’s why the Democrat Party refuses to condemn their behavior. And that’s why the Democrat Party has sat idly by as they’ve commandeered whole neighborhoods and proceeded to kill people and extort businesses with minimal pushback.

Only just this week — after nearly a month of shootings, murders, rapes, robbery and extortion — was the infamous CHAZ/CHOP autonomous zone in Seattle finally been dismantled. And yet even now, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, a Democrat, continues to describe the extremist zone as a den of peacefulness and love:

The Democrat Party is simply incapable of being honest about the growing left-wing extremism overwhelming the country. But as noted repeatedly this week by Carlson, the Republican Party has been nearly just as limp-wristed in its behavior.

In a lengthy 10-minute monologue earlier this week, he excoriated Republicans for “pushing left-wing legislation because [they’re] afraid of being criticized by Chuck Schumer” and warned that they stand to lose everything in November unless they get their act together.

“Republicans at all levels could lose this fall. If that happens, there will be profound consequences. People who supported Donald Trump will be punished. There’s no question about that. There’s never been an American political party as radical and angry as the Democrats are now. Imagine them with unlimited power,” he said.

And it’s not just Republicans in Congress who stand to lose everything. So do Republican governors like Gov. Parson as well.

Listen to the full monologue below:

As of Friday morning, there didn’t appear to be a single instance of Parson commenting on or even tweeting about what happened to the McCloskeys.

But his Twitter feed did contain a few virtue-signaling tweets about women’s rights and other matters:

FYI, Gov. Parson, Patricia McCloskey is also a woman, and she too has rights …
