Leftist “protesters” with Antifa and Black Lives Matter blocked construction crews from removing barricades in Seattle’s CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied Protest) zone after mayor Jenny Durkan called for the hijacked, police-free zone to be shut down.
Many CHOP squatters abandoned the area after Durkan ordered them to leave, but other protesters stayed and vowed to agitate until their demands were met.
One protester lied down in the middle of the street to obstruct a construction truck, while others stood on top of the makeshift barricades.
All in all, not much progress was made to shut down CHOP on Friday. However, Mayor Durkan insists that all CHOP barricades will be removed by Sunday.
Elsewhere in Seattle, leftist thugs clashed with police.
This week, Seattle’s mayor finally agreed to dismantle the feral CHOP zone after three shootings last weekend and a surge in violence left a black teenager dead and another man hospitalized in critical condition.
In announcing her decision, Democrat mayor Jenny Durkan said the violence in the CHOP zone was overshadowing the “social justice” the group claims to champion.

Durkan also said Seattle should not have any areas that ban police and fire departments because this endangers public safety.
This contradicts Durkan’s previous cheerleading of CHOP, which she cheerfully called a “summer of love.” But a black teen being shot to death by CHOP thugs gave her a wake-up call.

Durkan was widely criticized for coddling the Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs who forcefully took over the CHOP zone for three weeks.
During this time, public and private property were vandalized and many small businesses were forced to close. The left-wing media disingenuously claimed that the CHOP rioters were peaceful protesters and that local Seattle residents loved having them around.
In reality, residents and small-business owners were furious over the anarchy, violence, crime, and property damage caused by the left-wing mobs.
That’s why enraged residents and business owners filed a class-action lawsuit on Friday, accusing city officials of depriving them of their rights.
While Democrats and their media lapdogs pretend that the anarchy, violence and rioting that have erupted in Democrat-led cities is acceptable, everyday Americans are seething.

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson said authorities must stop appeasing left-wing mobs.
“In every society, there are those who seek to destroy,” Carlson said. “They destroy for the same reason that troubled boys torture dogs or shoot house cats. Inflicting pain makes them feel powerful.”
Tucker continued: “We used to call people like that anti-social forces. They still exist. We just pretend they don’t. Or worse, we excuse their behavior. We coddle them. We fund them. Wall Street sends them money in the hope that they will be destroyed last.”

Carlson said: “Never in American history have they been more emboldened than they are now. An activist called Shaun King issued the following demand on Twitter: ‘All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus and his European mother and their white friends should also come down. They are a gross form of white supremacy created as tools of oppression, racist propaganda. They should all come down.'”

Tucker continued: “Before you dismiss that idea as the rantings of some crank on social media, keep in mind that Shaun King is the most famous Black Lives Matter leader in this country. Black Lives Matter is now more popular than either major political party. So don’t be surprised when they come for your church. Why wouldn’t they? No one is stopping them.
Carlson remarked: “The forces of destruction have grand ambitions. They plan to rule this country. What will happen if they do?”
