A New York City police union chief warned officers that they are “alone” as attacks on them escalate amid violent protests and law enforcement is on the brink of “losing” the city in the chaos.

New York Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins begged President Trump to send in federal help as the city is experiencing a dangerous lack of leadership amid the violent rioting in the guise of protests over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week.

“NYPD is losing the city of New York and we have no leadership in the city of New York right now, from City Hall to the brass of the NYPD,” Mullins told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on “The Ingraham Angle” Tuesday.

“The men and women are being pelted with rocks, bricks, cars [are] lit on fire. And this is continuous. We have a curfew that’s been implemented tonight at eight o’clock and everyone is still out rioting in the streets in New York,” he said after another night of lawlessness and attacks on law enforcement by thugs pretending to protest over Floyd, who died after a police officer knelt on his neck during an arrest.

Conservative radio host and former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino shared a tweet detailing an NYPD officer’s experience and the “Zero leadership” from Democratic leaders.

The SBA posted disturbing video from incidents occurring in the city, showing how officers are being attacked.

“NYPD Cops defend yourselves, you are alone!” one tweet was captioned.

“President Trump is watching it. I am asking the president to please, please immediately send federal personnel to New York City and monitor what is going on,” Mullins told Ingraham.

“If Governor Cuomo does not implement the National Guard immediately, then the federal government is going to have to step in,” he added.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that an 8 p.m. curfew would be extended for the rest of the week even though looters and demonstrators have ignored orders.  Trump issued a call to “save” New York City in a tweet criticizing de Blasio and New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, demanding they call up the National Guard to protect and defend the city and slamming the initial curfew.

“New York City put on an 11:00 P.M. CURFEW last night,” Trump wrote. “No wonder they ripped the place apart.”

Meanwhile, Cuomo had called out the New York City Police Department and de Blasio, whose own daughter was arrested among the protesters. He slammed the “inexcusable” handling of the chaos as a “disgrace” and suggested he could “displace” the Democrat mayor and “take over” his job, noting that de Blasio had refused the help of the National Guard.

“Our hands are being tied,” Mullins told Ingraham on Tuesday. “The rank and file members of all ranks have sent me numerous emails, letters, text messages, photos of New York City … being destroyed. We have no leadership coming from City Hall. We are being told to stand down.”

“We have a city that is being destroyed. The public that lives there is in fear for their own lives,” he added. “I’m receiving videos, photographs, license plates of looters from citizens of the city of New York while cops are being pelted.”

In a letter to rank and file officers, Mullins told them they are “being held back and used as pawns.”

“We will continue to fight for you as you fight for the life of this City,” he wrote in another tweet explaining a letter had been sent to New York City Police Commissioner Dermot Shea.

“Mayor de Blasio is not allowing the NYPD to do their job,” Mullins said on Fox News. “The commissioner, the chiefs of the NYPD are too afraid to let the men and women keep control of the city. History has shown that you must enforce the laws.”
