President Donald Trump blasted George Conway and a group of Republicans who launched an ad criticizing his response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The president unloaded on the anti-Trump group led by the husband to his Senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, calling out the “group of RINO Republicans” in a series of late night tweets.
“A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, ‘Morning in America’,” Trump tweeted.
The political ad put out by The Lincoln Project titled “Mourning in America” sought to play off of former President Ronald Reagan’s 1984 ad which was titled “Morning in America.” The 60-second ad presented the contrast of the Trump administration to the “positive impact” experienced under Reagan’s first term in the White House.
“There’s mourning in America,” the narrator in the video ad said.
“Today more than 60,000 Americans have died from a deadly virus Donald Trump ignored. With the economy in shambles more than 26 million Americans are out of work, the worst economies in decades,” the video continued, claiming the country is “weaker and sicker and poorer” under Trump’s leadership.

Trump ripped into the group behind the ad, which includes Rick Wilson, Bill Kristol and Steve Schmidt as well as Conway, accusing them of trying to “get even for all of their many failures.”
A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, “Morning in America”, doing everything possible to….

….get even for all of their many failures. You see, these loser types don’t care about 252 new Federal Judges, 2 great Supreme Court Justices, a rebuilt military, a protected 2nd Amendment, biggest EVER Tax & Regulation cuts, and much more. I didn’t use any of them….

The president added that “their so-called Lincoln Project is a disgrace to Honest Abe,” before zeroing in on Conway, who has been one of Trump’s most outspoken critics.
“I don’t know what Kellyanne did to her deranged loser of a husband, Moonface, but it must have been really bad,” Trump tweeted.
….because they don’t know how to win, and their so-called Lincoln Project is a disgrace to Honest Abe. I don’t know what Kellyanne did to her deranged loser of a husband, Moonface, but it must have been really bad. John Weaver lost big for Kasich (to me). Crazed Rick Wilson….

He continued to call out the members of The Lincoln Group, summing them all up with: “They’re all LOSERS.”
….lost for Evan “McMuffin” McMullin (to me). Steve Schmidt & Reed Galvin lost for John McCain, Romney’s campaign manager (?) lost big to “O”, & Jennifer Horn got thrown out of the New Hampshire Republican Party. They’re all LOSERS, but Abe Lincoln, Republican, is all smiles!

Conway apparently embraced his new nickname and responded to the president’s late night tweets on Tuesday.
“Dear Mr. President: My friend Windsor Mann, who gave me the idea that we do a ‘Mourning in America’ (not ‘Morning’) ad, is sad you didn’t rage-tweet at him,” he wrote. “Could you take a moment from your busy day of abject self-pity to attack him? Many thanks. Love, Your friend, Moonface.”

Trump’s reelection campaign released its own ad Sunday titled “American Comeback” which touted the president’s response to the pandemic which his critics seem to think is entirely his fault. The ad touched on Trump’s ban on travel from China, federal aid to governors in states across the nation and the promise of a strong economy again.
Not surprisingly, Trump’s Twitter tirade prompted liberal mockery and criticism, but plenty of others agreed with him and blasted Conway.
They should have called it “The Losers Project” instead of “The Lincoln Project”. Would have been a better name for a supergroup of historic losers.

President Trump was being kind by using the term “Moonface” to describe Kellyanne Conway’s husband.
That guy is an absolute disgrace of a human being.
