An Idaho mom who was arrested for refusing to a leave playground to protest the state’s lockdown orders tearfully apologized, saying “I let my frustrations get the better of me.”

Sarah Brady, 40, says she still disagrees with Idaho’s draconian stay-at-home orders, but should’ve handled the situation differently.

Brady delivered her tearful apology in front of the Meridian (Idaho) Police Department. It’s likely the public apology was part of a plea deal to avoid jail time.

“I never thought a knee-jerk comment made to you out of frustration — by me wanting my kids to play at a park — would create such a divide among our friends, family, community, the state of Idaho, our nation and the world,” Brady said. “A divide that seems impossible for me to mend.”

Brady explained: “I have been stuck at home for the last five weeks and I — as the rest of America — watched this great nation and our God-given rights crumble before my eyes. I am on edge with the constant stress of children and trying to tend to their needs of being bored and cooped-up along with other responsibilities. However, this is not an excuse for my behavior.”

Brady said she still opposes Idaho’s lockdown, but never intended to make herself a nuisance to local police, who have better things to do than arrest a mom at a playground.

“While I disagree with the current restrictions being put in place that are restricting our freedoms, I never intended or thought me going to the park on a sunny day with my kids would evolve to the point that it would involve the Meridian Police Department, your fellow officers, you, or your family,” she said.

As BizPac Review reported, Brady was led off in handcuffs last week after ignoring police requests to leave a restricted section of the park.

Brady and a small group of people had gone to the park with their children as part of a planned protest of the state’s lockdown orders.

Brady’s arrest for trespassing ignited a local protest of residents who don’t understand why Idaho has to adhere to the same strict lockdown orders as coronavirus epicenter New York City.

Idaho has a population of 1.8 million. But to date, it has recorded only 58 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Unlike New York State (the coronavirus epicenter, with a population of 19.4 million), Idaho has a low population density.

It makes no sense to impose the same restrictive lockdown for NYC (population: 8.7 million) on Meridian, Idaho (population: 106,804).

Across the United States, millions of Americans are protesting these illogical and untenable one-size-fits-all lockdowns.

Numerous scientific studies show that it’s unhealthy for people to remain cooped-up inside their homes, and that doing so actually increases your chances of contracting the coronavirus.

A recent study concluded that the most common place where patients got infected was inside their own homes. Eighty percent of COVID-19 outbreaks began inside someone’s home.

The report concluded: “All identified outbreaks of three or more cases occurred in an indoor environment, which confirms that sharing indoor space is a major [coronavirus] infection risk. Researchers have found that fresh air and exercise boost your immune system. The outdoors and sunshine are such strong factors in fighting viral infections that a 2009 study…suggested that during the next pandemic, we should encourage ‘the public to spend as much time outdoors as possible.’”
