Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is “excited” about the coronavirus crisis because he sees it as a “wake up call” on climate change.
The former vice president echoed leftist talking points in separate fundraisers this week, contending that the COVID-19 pandemic actually presents a pathway for “institutional changes.”

As medical professionals risk their lives treating coronavirus patients, seeking cures and a vaccine, and as President Donald Trump’s administration works to help struggling Americans, Biden has been busy bashing the president and heralding the “opportunities” the global pandemic is providing.
“I believe, because, sort of, the blinders have been taken off, because of this COVID crisis,” Biden was quoted as saying during a virtual fundraiser hosted by entrepreneur Will Hurley, according to a pool report.
“I think people are realizing, ‘My Lord. Look at what is possible. Look at the institutional changes we can make – without us becoming a ‘socialist country,’ or any of that malarkey – that we can make to provide the opportunities to change the institutional drawbacks …” he told donors on the call.
“And if I sound like I’m excited, I am,” he added, saying that he is “a student of history” and that the United States “is one of the few countries in the world, whatever crisis they’re faced with, we’ve overcome it. And we’ve always come out stronger, better.”
Biden also reportedly pointed out a climate and infrastructure plan that would potentially create jobs, CNS News reported.
But the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee also made the questionable connection between the coronavirus and climate change at another fundraiser the next night.
“COVID is shining a bright light on the structural racism that plagues our laws, our institutions and our culture. And it’s a wake-up call, a wake-up call to action to climate change overall and to climate justice,” he was quoted as saying, according to The Atlantic’s Edward-Isaac Dovere.

Biden continued the streak when he attempted to discuss climate change with none other than former vice president Al Gore during a virtual town hall on Wednesday.
While his excited support of the environment may have gotten his fellow Democrat’s attention — and his endorsement — Biden seemed to lose Gore in his nearly nonsensical query: “Is it too late to aggress the climate change in a meaningful way?”

Biden’s policy director, Stef Feldman, touted his “plan for a clean energy revolution and environmental justice” in a series of tweets this week, noting the executive action he will take once in office to “reverse the damage Trump has done” on day one and “make progress on his climate agenda.”

Twitter users slammed the Democrat for pushing a climate agenda in the face of a global pandemic.
Joe Biden started out with saying he wants middle of the road action on climate change, now he says he wants 1/10th of the road action. If he were elected, what would it be once he actually gets into office, 1/100th of the road action?#GreenNewDeal #DropOutBiden

Joe Biden is radical and clueless. He can’t stop talking about how “excited” he is about coronavirus as an opportunity for “institutional change” and how it’s a big “wake up call” for climate change.
