Investigative journalist John Solomon believes long-awaited indictments could be coming soon in the probe of the FBI and its handling of the Russia investigation.
Speaking with Fox Business host Lou Dobbs, Solomon discussed the release of documents this week related to the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation, which bore the code name “Crossfire Hurricane.”

The host of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” began with a complaint about how “no one has been held accountable” despite the evidence of corruption.
“More and more is being revealed but it all is much the same thing. It’s all about FBI official political corruption,” Dobbs said, adding that newly released information shows the Obama administration’s FBI knowledge was “more emphatically damning.”
“This is outrageous. And it gets more outrageous by the day, because no one’s been held accountable,” he said.
“In my worst nightmare I could never imagine what would come out this week,” Solomon responded, referring to the trove of newly declassified documents and information released by Senator Lindsey Graham, the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman.
Justice Department information related to applications to surveil former Trump campaign associate Carter Page were made public as were transcripts of conversations between another former Trump campaign aide, George Papadopoulos, and a confidential FBI informant.

“The level of information that the FBI had that raised red flags that they should have never, not even for a moment, entertained Christopher Steele as a human source as a confidential informant is now overwhelming,” Solomon said, referring to the former British spy.
“Christopher Steele should never have been shown a door inside the FBI and instead we sustained two-and-a-half years of an investigation into false allegations that put this country and our president through an unnecessary process,” Solomon added.
Information from the Justice Department inspector general’s report was also released recently by Sens. Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson. That information revealed that the FBI had evidence that Russian operatives may have intentionally fed disinformation to Steele which ended up in the infamous dossier.
“Unnecessary? This was an attempt to overthrow the president? This was an attempt to align the entire FBI with Russian intelligence objectives and missions,” Dobbs interjected, calling it a “sinister cabal” in the DOJ operating “to overthrow a president.”
“They are refusing to bring these people to justice!” Dobbs continued. “This is outrageous that we’re having this discussion in 2020…we’re talking about four years ago!”
Solomon agreed that “it has taken a very long time,” attributing the delay to the FBI and the intelligence community being “very good at hiding and obfuscating the truth” by redacting documents, claiming records are classified and falsifying documents, “which they did in this case.”
“I will say this. There is fairly significant evidence that at this very moment, this week, the last couple of weeks, Lou, that there is some criminal investigative activity that I think will result in some actions coming out soon,” Solomon noted.
“It’s not going to be a lot. Don’t expect 10 or 12 indictments, but there could be a handful of indictments and much more information,” he explained.
That appeared to be welcome news to Papadopoulos who tweeted that it will be “a great moment in American history.”

Solomon had another point that he thought still needed to be resolved.
“The FBI had something right. There was a campaign that was taking Russian information and trying to influence the election,” he concluded. “It just wasn’t Donald Trump’s campaign. It was Hillary Clinton, through the person of Christopher Steele with his Russian informants.”
