Radio superstar Rush Limbaugh was trashed by fear-mongering media merchants for questioning their rabid reports of coronavirus hospitalizations amid conflicting videos challenging this narrative.
“One of the things that interests me is the hospitalization numbers,” Limbaugh said on his radio show. “Because if you look at Drudge, if you look at the Drive-By Media, you’d believe there is not a single hospital bed in this country.”
Limbaugh continued: “You’ve been led to believe that every hospital’s overflowing, that dead bodies are in body bags and refrigerated trucks that are being packed off to landfills. Some of the most incredible reporting I’ve ever seen: It is in New York. It is in Washington, D.C., Maryland, the Eastern Seaboard states, that there’s not a hospital bed around, that the hospitals are overflowing. ”
He added: “So I wanted to find out what the hospitalization rates were here in Palm Beach County, because we’ve been shut down like everybody else has.”
Limbaugh said in Palm Beach County (where he lives), only 57 people have been hospitalized so far due to the coronavirus.
“Total cases in Palm Beach County: 514,” Rush said. “Total deaths: 11. Hospitalizations: 57. Does that strike you as a large number? Of 514 cases, 57 hospitalizations. That sounds like a small number to me.”
Limbaugh continued: “Why aren’t the hospitalization numbers being reported to us? If you go to New York, a field hospital is being built in Central Park. We’ve got the Mercy ship that floated in there. They’re clearly trying to create the impression that we don’t have any hospitals.”
Rush was trying to calm his audience down, who are panicked by the fear-mongering media, which are gleefully catastrophizing the coronavirus crisis for ratings and to attack President Trump.
“Again, 57 hospitalizations,” Limbaugh said. “If you are in Palm Beach County and you happen to come down with this, there’s gonna be room in hospitals. I’m not urging people to go there. Don’t misunderstand. But so much of this has been politicized that it’s just impossible anymore to actually find factual truth.”
Rush Limbaugh and other commentators have questioned the hysterics being spouted by the left-wing media. That does not mean that they are not taking the coronavirus seriously.
All they’re saying is that it’s hard to trust the media, when their sloppy reporting has repeatedly been debunked as fake news — especially during the past three years. Everyone should have a healthy dose of skepticism toward the media, given its numerous failings.
Remember this?
Reminder: The mainstream media rabidly promoted:
- Russia collusion hoax.
- Impeachment scam.
- False claims that Justice Brett Kavanaugh was a gang rapist.
- Downplayed coronavirus in January and February to discredit Trump’s China travel ban.
The left-wing media (led by the New York Times) also falsely claimed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Because of these lies, the United States remains embroiled in numerous bloody, expensive Mideast conflicts — 19 years after September 11.
On Twitter, numerous people posted videos of empty hospitals using the hashtag #FilmYourHospital.
These videos don’t suggest that the coronavirus is not a serious health crisis; it is. Everyone should take proper precautions through social distancing and washing their hands frequently.
However, the videos challenge the mass panic being gleefully promoted by the media to overhype a serious situation.

CBS News apparently thought coronavirus hospitalizations in New York weren’t serious enough, so it used alarming footage from Italy to scare viewers.
@CBS @CBSNews caught using footage from Italy to scare Americans, and lie about conditions in NYC hospitals. People are driving to emergency rooms and finding them deserted. Why does corporate media need you to believe #caronavirus is worse than it is?
