Fox News and host Jeanine Pirro fired back at criticism of her show this weekend amid accusations on social media that the host was drunk on the air.
Saturday’s episode of “Justice With Judge Jeanine” was being broadcast from Pirro’s home for the first time and experienced a few technical difficulties that, coupled with the host’s different appearance, raised the eyebrows of many who took to Twitter to hurl insults and accusations.
OMG. What is Fox News doing putting someone on the air in the condition? https://t.co/N0dPciYAaU

“Welcome back. It’s good to see you tonight, and we apologize for the technical difficulties,” Pirro said while opening her show. She made references to technical issues again through the broadcast.
“Judge Jeanine missed the first segment of her show tonight because of ‘technical difficulties’ and then hosted the rest of it in this condition,” Vox reporter Aaron Rupar tweeted along with a video clip.
Many others piled on, posting memes and comments claiming alcohol was presumably the reason for Pirro’s appearance, the late start to the show and the host seemingly stumbling over her words.
New name for show: Happy Hour with Judge Jeanine.

Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson proved to be no better than the haters when she commented in a tweet.
“Will another one bite the dust? Let’s just say she’s not one to support other women,” Carlson wrote, reacting to an article about Pirro appearing “disheveled and tipsy.”

Even those who tried to defend Pirro were mocked by the critics.
She was drunk just admit it

But Fox News denied the accusations and said technical issues were, indeed, to blame.
“Jeanine Pirro was broadcasting from her home for the first time when she encountered several technical difficulties which impacted the quality of her show, including the loss of a teleprompter,” a Fox News spokesperson told BPR in a statement. “As we have previously said, we are operating with a reduced staff working remotely to ensure the health and safety of our employees in these unprecedented times.”
An unnamed source who is close to the network said that Pirro was not drunk and does not drink. There was also no producer at Pirro’s home as everybody is currently working remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic, the source said, adding that there was no one available to do Pirro’s hair and makeup.
Pirro took to Twitter herself to respond to some who panned her show, including one person who said she had “drunk girl hair” during the broadcast. Pirro explained that her hair appeared out of place due to an earpiece “grabbing” at her hair, adding that she was broadcasting “in a truck” that had “no connection, no visual and no teleprompter.”
No that’s an ifb grabbing my hair and no staff around to notice. I was in a truck where that was not prepared to broadcast bec we had no connection , no visual and no teleprompter.

“Keep hating. U wear it well,” she responded to another person who made a comment about drinking.
