Fox News host Greg Gutfeld blasted government bureaucrats who are using the coronavirus to blackmail their peers into ramming through a pork-filled “stimulus bill” that doesn’t help everyday Americans who are suffering financially.
“You don’t have to get this bill to be perfect. We don’t have the luxury of perfection right now!” Gutfeld said on “The Five.” “We have to get something through that will help people.”
Gutfeld trashed opportunistic legislators who lie in wait like vultures to “sneak stuff” into a coronavirus relief package that doesn’t help everyday Americans.
“When you see people in disasters who take advantage of those earthquakes or floods, they are called looters,” Gutfeld said. “The fiends who are sneaking stuff in the relief package to slow it down — they’re looters too. Because they’re hurting a relief package that is there for millions and millions of people.”
“And the government is not helping by wasting our time. What do these people do for a living? For the past two weeks, we have sacrificed our freedom so that we can beat this virus.
And they can’t even stop acting like politicians even with a metaphorical gun to their heads (i.e., a virus) in an emergency situation. They can’t even change their behavior. It is absolutely disgusting!”

Greg Gutfeld also pointed out the cluelessness of leftists like socialist Bernie Sanders, who are decrying the aid that corporations (which employ millions of people) are getting.
“In order for people keep that thought in their head, they have to pretend that corporations are run by some kind of inanimate object. Corporations are made up of people,” Gutfeld said. “Those people have families. Families consist of children. People need the money so they can continue living and pay their rent.”
Gutfeld’s co-host, Jesse Watters, also slammed the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives for sneaking in a $25 million raise for themselves while the taxpayers who pay their government salaries aren’t getting paid.
Leftists also snuck in $25 million for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. How does this help the average American who’s trying to put food on their tables?
“There is money in here for Congressional salaries,” Watters pointed out. “There’s money in here for NPR — millions! There’s money in here for illegal aliens, open borders, the Green New Deal, and all sorts of social justice regulations. It’s crazy!”
Watters continued: “On the other hand, you have a $500 billion boatload of dough going to God-knows-who in corporate America, with no strings attached. Here’s a string: If we’re going to give you a half-trillion-dollars, maybe build plants in America instead of China. Is that so hard? I’m a TV guy. These are professional politicians, and they are coming out at the last second like they have nothing to do with the legislation.”
Watters slammed people like socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, who was in hiding for the past three weeks but surfaced at the last minute to grandstand over the stimulus bill.
“It’s like a restaurant owner complaining what is on the menu. Dude, you can change the menu!” Watters said. “What is Bernie Sanders doing? It is 3:30 p.m., Where have you been all weekend? You could have changed this with Chuck Schumer and with Mitch McConnell!”
