Terrence Williams, an actor, comedian, and conservative social media commentator, isn’t buying the news that disgraced former film producer Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for coronavirus.
On Sunday, it was reported that the 68-year-old serial rapist and all-around sexual deviant was diagnosed with COVID-19. According to local newspaper Press-Republican, he is in isolation at Wende Correctional Facility in western New York. The paper reported: “Officials familiar with his situation said it is believed Weinstein was positive for the virus when he entered the state prison system last Wednesday from Rikers Island, a New York City jail.”
After various news outlets picked up the story, Williams posted his rant suggesting that the whole thing is just a way for Weinstein to get out of jail and go to the hospital.

Earlier in March, the fallen mogul was sentenced to 23 years in prison after being found guilty of raping a woman in 2013 and forcing oral sex on another in 2006. He faces additional charges in California that could ultimately result in another 28 years behind bars.
Weinstein’s age, poor physical condition, and chronic health issues such as heart problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure would seem to indicate he is not a strong candidate for surviving the deadly virus.
Weinstein was moved to Wende, a maximum security prison, last week.
The Press-Republican spoke with Michael Powers, president of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association (NYSCOPBA), who said he was not able to comment on Weinstein’s situation or his health record due to privacy rules.
However, he did express his concern for correctional officers who are not equipped to deal with the highly contagious coronavirus within prisons’ confined spaces. “Powers acknowledged the union has urged state corrections officials to immediately suspend all ‘non-essential’ transfers of inmates from one state facility to another as well as the transporting of local jail prisoners to the state prisons during the ongoing health emergency,” the paper reported.
“There is no better breeding ground for this virus than a closed environment such as a correctional facility,” Powers said.
Unnamed officials said that Weinstein is one of two inmates at Wende who have tested positive for COVID-19.
The New York prison system last week suspended all visits to inmates to try to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. In addition, non-security and other staff have been directed to work from home for at least two weeks.
According to Powers, 10 state corrections officers have already tested positive and several dozen more are being monitored after coming into contact with those believed to be infected.
