Let’s talk victory as powerful messages of inspiration emerge and remind: ‘Americans DON’T lose’

An uplifting social media thread sparked a series of powerful images and comments reminding Americans of some important things amid the coronavirus crisis.

“Being American means something,” Twitter user @Brickhouse0733 posted in a series of tweets on Thursday that crescendo into a rousing finale declaring “Americans don’t lose…”

He continued with a salute to American farmers and truckers working hard amid the pandemic gripping the world, while also publicly calling out the many shoppers who hoarded toilet paper as panic erupted.

“Our young Millennials partying on the beach represents the last gasp of the worst American generation,” he dramatically added, referring to the widely condemned images of students flocking to Florida beaches to “party” despite the warnings of officials about spreading the contagious virus.

“Political correctness is dead,” he added in the next tweet, sounding the death knell as the media continue to swipe at President Donald Trump and others over the trivial issue of what the virus is being called, while the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections nears 230,000 with over 9,000 deaths.

The final tweet urged that it is time “to be a family again.”

Many Americans expressed their gratitude for the timely reminder.

Other inspiring tweets were also shared, like the US Navy’s response to encouragement from Canada, tweeting, “Together, we got this.”

A video shared from “The Old Guard” showed how the tradition of the “constant watch” at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery continues despite the threat from coronavirus.

And, as even Hollywood actors took to social media to spread a message of hope and solidarity, Americans found a new way to literally shine a light in the darkness.

“What if we all put our Christmas lights back up?” Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Lane Grindle tweeted. “Then we could get in the car and drive around and look at them. That seems like a fair social distancing activity.”

Almost three months after Christmas, it seems many Americans have taken the idea to heart and are spreading some cheer amid the grim reality of “social distancing” and self-quarantines.
